I rode this trail for the first time yesterday. Videos don't do some of the challenging sections justice imo. It's tougher than it looks!

What bike is Maddy riding?

Cuz it’s a brand new trail, duh! I live 15 minutes from Lair and have been riding it for 20 yrs at least, massive change in the trails with high usage. It’s just the way it goes with front range trails.

That climb is easier if you sprint into it with the most speed you can, drop to granny gear and take it straight at the top instead of left.

That drop though 🤯

I appreciate the editing effort but that background music had me moving on pretty quick. Looks like fun content otherwise.

FYI: Tatamagouche is not pronounced "Tatamagouch" you say it like it was spelled like this "Tatamagouchy" :) I like in NW Arkansas been riding this area for years.

People say bikes widen trails and cause erosion. Meanwhile rutabaga is the narrowest and least eroded trail at lair. And we can check back in ten years and see the same thing.

Nice effort on the crazy climb! I've seen a video where a guy goes straight instead of turning and then clears it. A few others cleared it. I've never even really tried but I might give it a shot next time!

I did this yesterday first time, didn't seem to be that harsh but awsome effort was seen here. I am very new to this stuff but a power output definitely helps to get through the what's seen by most as harder. Nice work.

That one gentleman did really good. I can only get about halfway up myself, but rutabaga is fun. God bless and keep the rubber down.

This is so inspirational! To anyone unfamiliar, this is a lot steeper than it looks on video. A lot of hikers have to use their hands to scramble up this.

Time to do some impromptu maintenance on that outside rut 😂

I’ve been picking away at that rock feature since it opened, it’s nice to have some video footy of some people cleaning it. Now I know a little better what I should be doing.

Amazing work on that rock waterfall! I’m headed to that trail right now and I’d be so proud of myself to get even halfway up that thing.

He is really good and you are, too. You seem to have the guts that go with the skills, and so you are an inspiration for me. And now that we have the same bike, it is going to be even better to watch your videos! How do you like your firebird with a coil shock? Had plans to make the festival, was a bit hesitant due to the weather forecast, first couple of days seemed solid - Planned on being there Thursday through Monday - Bailed on things - We had a tornado warning from that same system once it arrived here, all hell broke loose, sirens blaring, massive rain and wind, uber sketchy but we are used to the volatile Spring season for sure - Cold fronts pushing warm, a recipe for destruction more often than not... \m/
