Rally to save the Marian Shrine of Gratitude

A sacred place of worship in Northwest Toronto was recently sold despite cries from the public for it to be saved. Afua Baah has the details on how local residents are voicing their frustration.

This is a clear act of religious interference. And an attack to our faith.
If this was not an act of war against Our Lady and our faith an effort would have been made to listen the community and may be an offer to relocate.

Its really sad. Not only the distruction of our worship place.. but also By the lack of communication and the way the developer choose to insult us. Is a clear sign that they don't like us and they don't want us in the area.
Canada used to be a place for everyone. We welcomed everyone. Now we are not welcomed in our own neighborhood. The place I used to call home and we help to built for our children and everyone. Now other people took it and kicked us out
