I don’t care for the pink GS but if they come out with a French Lilac … yep I would buy a dozen! I have my outdoor chairs, some pots etc painted French Lilac because it’s such a calming color. The soft lavender with all the different shades of green in my garden makes me happy! Love your channel!
I love "flitting around" my garden/landscape. It fills my soul also. As I "flit" I'm enjoying the spring, the birds, the ornamentals, the veggie starts, etc., etc. I'm 71 years young so my flitting has decreased with regard to how long my strength holds out, but it is still so satisfying because I get to leave behind all the confusion and chaos of everyday life. Flitting is AWESOME!!!! 🥰
When my sister and I were were little (I'm 75 now) we called that flitting kind of gardening great aunt Josie gardening. Then we would laugh our heads off. As we aged we came to the conclusion that her body would only let her garden in one position for short times. It was an ahhhaa moment for us.
I just ran across a young lady online, Becoming a Farm Girl, who lives in a condo and is living your admonition of making her waiting room her classroom. She loves preserving food she must purchase because there's not much garden space on a deck, and now she is actually teaching in her classroom. She has so much joy and enthusiasm for food she reminds me of you when I first started watching you. They are not close to their farm days yet, but I can't wait to see how she grows into that life from her greenstalks on the deck filled with herbs.
The moment he tells you that you are the only one for him and ask you to spend the rest of your life with him and grow old together, is such a monumental moment. One that you remember for the rest of your life, and now, over 54 years later, is still so sweet that it brings you to tears. Jess, the love I see in both of your eyes, is that kind of love. May the Lord bless you both with many more years together. Y’all have a precious family. Your Irises are beautiful too. A wonderful video. Thank you for sharing and thank you for allowing your sweet boys to close with, “we bless you until next time.” Melted my heart. I love when they say that like you always do. We are blessed.❤️✝️🙏
I admire the conviction in your voice when you recognize "I'm not the same person I was.." and that it's ok and you don't need to apologize. Also love love the pink greenstalk!! 💗🌱💗
Jess and Miah, I pray the Lord sends me a love like your’s. Patient, kind, sassy 😂 I love how real y’all are with each other, and us, about the work it takes to build a family together. I cackled when Sweet Miah brought the paperwork to you knowing there was only the chance of a coffee refill or clothes change bringing you back inside. Congratulations on the 13th anniversary of your engagement, even if it was a short one! 😂🎉
When you said, "A garden space reflects you," I'm laughing inside and considering how my garden reflects me. Some parts of my garden are orderly and beautiful and others are a bit chaotic and a work in progress. I greatly enjoy your videos, thank you for taking the time to produce them regularly.
I can’t tell you how much of a blessing you are to me. I crave time in my garden like you do. I heard a saying recently at church and I want to say it to you and your beautiful family. “The Christ in me sees the Christ is you!” Thank you, Jess.
I was planting out some tomatoes yesterday afternoon right before a storm was rolling in, perfect weather. Breezy, dark clouds rolling in, a sprinkle here or there. Hubby was trying to finish the mowing before the rain came down. The pink greenstalk stands out so much with all of your dark wood garden beds! It’s perfect! And as my husband calls it, “ happy Engageaversary!” 13 years is wonderful!
Jess, how can you say the pink greenstalk is the brightest thing in the garden, when Miah is currently in your garden! Ha ha.. congratulations on 13 years. May you have many more as you journey this world together.
❣❣❣❣❣❣❣❣ I met my husband at California Billiards in San Jose, when I was 16 and he was 26. He was clean cut. Very nice. Didn't see him again for 2 years. While I was at this pool hall again, he came in and I didn't recognized him as he looked like ZZ Top. Long beard & hair. Dirty clothes because he just got off work. When I saw him walk in the door, my first thought was "who would marry him"? And after dating for 3 months we eloped to Reno, Nv to get married and we have been together ever since. We have been married for 44 years come this October. I am now 62 and my wonderful husband is 71 and we can't wait to get to our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Love, Light and Blessings to all! Cheers!
Jess, Pink has been my favorite color since I was 12 years old. I'm 63, (wow, that sounds old! Still feel like I'm 40) love the pink greenstalk, it will look perfect in your garden. you are right about pink, people either love it or hate it. Both of our daughters dislike pink! Haha, they roll their eyes at me when I see something in pink and buy it. You and Jeremiah are a sweet couple, so nice to see that kind of love. Your boys are precious! Best to you all from New Hampshire.😊😊
Oh Jess....i just love❤ you and Jeremiah, together 😊. Yes you two work out good together. And i must say that is the best thumbnail on UA-cam today. May happiness always abound in y'alls marriage. God bless your family. Much love to you.
When my partner of many years was sick with cancer, I crocheted him an afghan to wrap up in that had octagons of steel gray on the outer 5 rounds, and the inner 5 rounds were blasts of many different colors, no rhyme or reason to the color pattern. They looked like brilliant flowers on a gray day, and I still have that afghan. I wish I could say the same for my partner, but it's OK. Thank you, Jess, you remind me of myself in the garden. I'm a "flitter", but things do get done that way, as you know! I love your garden, it's beautiful.💖
Jess, i started watching you in 2018 when i knew we were going to be moving to a warmer clime. I had never planted a seed in my life. I wish you could see my colorful garden 4 years later and the gardener that you are constantly inspiring me to be
My perfect date is April 25th! It's not too hot and it's not too cold! 😍 I almost spit my coffee when you said that the other day! That is my favorite line ever! LOL
Oh Jess those irises are absolutely spectacular! They’re one of my favorite flowers. I’m going through a very rough physical and emotional time right now and you and your videos bring life and joy.
Best thing about using gardening gloves is being able reach and poke anywhere in the dirt and not having to worry about a buried piece of glass or a stinging insect. At least that's why I use them. :)
I always start out using my big elbow length gauntlets for the heavy lifting, chopping and poking about. Just can't wear them when seed sowing though! I choose dexterity
I am so happy for you. Im watching this video while we're celebrating our anniversary in the same place we eloped 5 years ago. Ours was a 6 week engagement, but still felt very thrown together and scrambling to get all our boxes ticked off. We invited our families to come to Vegas with us, and everyone immediate was able to watch us. Then we were able to have a celebration with all the others on a much cheaper scale. God is good.
Lol,I'm a massive flitter too, 10 things going at once,I've always been a squirrel, but I get it all done eventually 😂 P.s your new table is gorgeous, matches in beautifully
Awwwwe! Hahahaha! “It worked out! You just got done cleaning up the garden you built for me!” I could say the same thing to my husband! Haha! Congrats you two!
I LOVE the word ‘flit’! Y husband comes home from work and asks what I did in the yard (because he knows where I am at my best). I too, flit around. It’s amazing how chores I need to get done that were not even on my list.
Get Sweet 'Maiah to sandpaper that rough tool handle, and wipe down the wooden garden implement handles on the regular with boiled linseed oil. (I think it was on this one; we binge watched a couple in a row). Your garden is looking good, and full of promise.
I thought you said "dead"plants and I thought she does it too, I always look for the discounted plants... Then I heard you say you picked up "bed" plants! 😂. I'm excited my IRIS are just showing their buds. I had a ton of plants that I brought when we moved but didn't get them planted right away so last year they were building energy and didn't bloom. I have been like a hawk watching and waiting...can't wait to see what colors I have and, I can back off on duplicates. So, your opening caught my eye! As always thanks. 🐸💜🐸💛🐸💚😎
I love your videos! You give me hope…..I’m too old to be trying to garden, but I’m not giving up! Last year was a disaster with bad soil……this year should be better! Everything is growing well under my grow lights except my tomatoes and I over watered them…..I’m grateful I found that out! I’m rectifying that now! Getting my Greenstalks ready and praying for an abundant harvest this year! I love seeing your boys…..they all seem so happy! You and Miah are too precious for words! Your love is incredible! Don’t stop!!! Keep on keeping on…..we all love you and all your boys!!❤❤❤
So I am wanting to get a pink greenstalk, waiting for the right time to try to help my husband to see the wisdom in that...... I just picture it with strawberries and small flowers and think it will be so beautiful.
So eloquently spoken, as always. I love when you are in these extra chatty, insightful and poetic moods and your garden is a lovely reflection of you. My Mom and Grandmother were visiting today and we were talking about exactly this! No matter where we decide to meet up, we are always sure to walk through each others gardens and enjoy seeing the reflection of the others in their sacred space.
Girl i "flit" around the garden, the yard. I can get a lot done that way. We just do our stuff. Its you being you, me being me. And i love your irises! They are beautiful. But your whole farm is beautiful.
Jessica, if you haven't gone to Swan Lake and Iris Garden in Sumter, please go! They have amazing irises. They also hold an amazing Iris Festival every spring when they are in bloom. Take a picnic lunch and enjoy the beauty.
It amazes me how fast the fountain gardens have filled in. It is stunning with the new pathways. Our gardening start is right around the corner. Getting excited.
I'd love to see you with a Go-Pro flitting around your garden. It would be cool to see a green stalk with one alternating layers of green and pink, like a candy cane.
Hey lady you should pick a couple of plants in your garden and make a video just of them from start to finish.. or get a drone.. so you can get a higher view of your beautiful garden. Another one you could do is a cows eye view.. of your garden. 😃 Do a kids interview of having a garden and why they love it. The drone could give your body rest for days you don't have the time or energy to go out. I hope you have a lovely day!!
Irises! When I was 17 I was gifted a beautiful blonde Chow-mix puppy, I named her after these beautiful flowers! I did spell it differently, Iryz, I was 17 😂 don't judge me 😂 She was the bestest girl ever! I miss her so much ❤
I’m so with you. I have tried having a plan when I go out into the garden, but if I get out there and just start one task, my inner hummingbird comes out and I flit around from task to task. Lots of them aren’t on my to-do list, but I am way more productive that way. Fly on, hummingbird!
You guys are so sweet. Happy Engagement Anniversary! I love it when my hubby comes and helps me in the garden. He’s like Miah, it’s not his thing but he will help!
Congratulations on your lives joined together celebrating 13 years of marriage! What a blessed life you and your family have! Thank you for being so transparent to us who watch and follow!❤
I am currently pregnant and sick every day so my garden is going to the weeds this year. I got a bunch planted, late, and I’m just watching it all grow up with the weeds. My motto is “it is what it is” along with “I will still get food” even though it’s not pretty out there..:
Bear says "I love dinner, snuggles, chasing birds, and you, Mom!" He is such a sweet doggo! I remember watching one of the last videos from before sweet Miah's mom passed away...she did the mural on the fence or something? And Maliah helped with it too, I seem to recall. It was so beautiful! Wishing you and the family a Happy Anniversary, Jess! Thank you for all you do!
The more you share, the more I find I have in common with you. I also loved color, and still do love color, but I have about 7 years of really hard times and the color drained from my life and my surroundings. Now that things have started to stabilize, I've been re-introducing loud colors back into my world. My clothes are getting funky again, my home decor isn't beige anymore, my spirit is getting brighter. Also, I LOVE pink lol
Love your heart Miss Jess. Hoping to meet you someday and give you a squeeze❤. You’ve helped my heart in ways you’ll never know. Much love from a chilly NH where my tomato plants are not so patiently waiting to be planted in my greenhouse.
My Bear loved hugs. Your Bear looks like he would like them too. I have been without a dog since last May. We have had several cats show up since then, but they aren’t the same as a quadruped.
So Happy you made this blog today as always I love all your blogs but I need to refresh my #GreenStalks and your easy steps makes my mind feel I can do it! Thanks Mia for always helping Jess!
I've been following you since 2018! Time flies! Your dream has evolved so beautifully! God bless you and your family for sharing it with us!

GIRL, that thumbnail alone makes me tear up seeing you and miah together ❤ you have a such a wonderful and supportive relationship.
Off the subject but do you ever ride your horses?

"Bear, do you love pink?" "I love you, Jess, and that's nearly the same thing, isn't it?", says Bear.
😭😭😭
Bear loves her despite her pink adiction😊
I admire the conviction in your voice when you recognize "I'm not the same person I was.." and that it's ok and you don't need to apologize. Also love love the pink greenstalk!! 💗🌱💗
Ahhhhh those sweet little boys!
10 minutes of this, and 10 minutes of that, day, after day after day....makes for a very wonderful life. I'm so very glad you have one......... :)

Sending love to you. Se glad you’re here.
Me too Julie? I loss my 48 year old step daughter. My heart is heavy 😪. (Lupus)
Our gardens reflect who we are? I guess I’m an untidy mess! Seems legit! 😂 I still grow scrumptious food!
When you said, "A garden space reflects you," I'm laughing inside and considering how my garden reflects me. Some parts of my garden are orderly and beautiful and others are a bit chaotic and a work in progress. I greatly enjoy your videos, thank you for taking the time to produce them regularly.
Same. I want the order, but I love the wildness of it all.
We are happy to “flit” around with you!
I can’t tell you how much of a blessing you are to me. I crave time in my garden like you do. I heard a saying recently at church and I want to say it to you and your beautiful family. “The Christ in me sees the Christ is you!” Thank you, Jess.

Lol,I'm a massive flitter too, 10 things going at once,I've always been a squirrel, but I get it all done eventually 😂
P.s your new table is gorgeous, matches in beautifully

Happy Anniversary to you guys🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️
Get Sweet 'Maiah to sandpaper that rough tool handle, and wipe down the wooden garden implement handles on the regular with boiled linseed oil. (I think it was on this one; we binge watched a couple in a row). Your garden is looking good, and full of promise.
I thought you said "dead"plants and I thought she does it too, I always look for the discounted plants... Then I heard you say you picked up "bed" plants! 😂. Love your heart Miss Jess. Hoping to meet you someday and give you a squeeze❤. You’ve helped my heart in ways you’ll never know. Much love from a chilly NH where my tomato plants are not so patiently waiting to be planted in my greenhouse.
Happy anniversary! I didn't like pink until my first granddaughter was born! Then I loved pink!
My Bear loved hugs. Your Bear looks like he would like them too. I have been without a dog since last May. We have had several cats show up since then, but they aren’t the same as a quadruped.
Those irises are like orchids. So spectacular and varied.
That table is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Happy anniversary and may god continue to bless your union and family.
Yay! Perfect to listen to on my drive home!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful memories with us!
So Happy you made this blog today as always I love all your blogs but I need to refresh my #GreenStalks and your easy steps makes my mind feel I can do it! Thanks Mia for always helping Jess!
Your boys have grown up so fast. None of us are the same. We grow and we change. ❤
Happy Anniversary Miah & Jess for the 26th.
