Personally, I am surprised this memorial has not been commemorated. I don't live in USA. I remember this memorial being built. It is beautiful, breathtaking in it's simplicity. One can physically touch the name of each person. That gives poignant recognition to all those named and to all those that visit. It's important. They are important.
Its sad knowing that my grandpa could've been on this but thankfully mad it home
Bill Gray is lifelong friend of mine and I'm honored to know him. I am grateful to all our Veterans for their service and sacrifice.
My uncke, SP4 John Imbach III, who my brother, sister, and I never met, is on panel 47 west line 19 To those who did come home, I am greatful for your service and sacrifice.
They did not include the sculptures of the 3 soldiers. So realistic. So sobering.
The three Grunts and the nurses with the fallen soldier. 😢,🇺🇲🫡
😢
Like she did something. It was the ones who we lost. Not her.
I don’t like that the Wall was designed by a Vietnamese woman, it’s like rubbing salt into the wounds of the soldiers who were there. Also, the design of the Wall is all wrong, you should never have the names of the dead soldiers at the feet of the people who are visiting the Wall. The names on the Wall should be at least 3 feet high maybe 4 and go up to about 7 feet high. So sad that the Wall itself even disrespects the fallen soldiers! The Vietnam Veterans just can’t catch a break! So sad 😢
she's american and the memorial is genius
@@billwilliams4090 genius? Lol 😂
She is not Vietnamese, she is Chinese American born in Athens, Ohio.
Wow is this still an issue? This is 2024, not 1900s.
