You take other people's style and compile it together without deviating much. It's like you were only influenced by the novelty and absurdity of other people's stuff and try to be shocking instead of expressing something that couldn't be understood easily. Even if you were trying to just have fun it's disrespectful that you run with other people's style and try to be more intentionally grotesque. There's definitely more quantity over quality in what you do, even if it was hard to make, you didn't try hard enough to be original or captivating enough to anybody else who didn't also just appreciate the novelty and absurdity of your influences.
It's even disrespectful to be fucking saying this, this criticism is unjustified and very illogically written. When you say say Slam takes styles from other creators and compiles them together, isn't that because the amount of convenience towards creating a style like this is less time consuming and than let's say PilotRedSun's style. Slam has taken inspiration from this community, his peers, and his seniors as well, I believe this shouldn't be criticized unless that inspiration is disguised as plagiarism. Onto the next point, "He was influenced by the absurdity and novelty of others content", that point is valid, I can tell because of his work, however when you say "try to be shocking instead of expressing something that couldn't be understood easily", it brings up a certain question from me. *Does this video have to be a piece of art?* I feel as if you're trying to pin Slam to a wall here using that statement. I find it quite idiotic that you even mention that people can't make "shocking" content. You'll probably say something like "Oh it's shocking because he tries to be funny by saying so and so, I don't it funny so this is shocking and bad humor in my context, thus I am correct.", you would be correct if every one was logical but humor is subjective as long as it is in the realm of being humorous, it will and if you currently look at the like and dislike ratio, it is 106 : 2, so *you are by far the minority.* Next point, you said quote "Even if you were trying to just have fun it's disrespectful that you run with other people's style and try to be more intentionally grotesque", honestly it's even appalling that you said this. This isn't plagiarism or anything that has to do with ripping off people's content, this isn't in the realm of it. Just because X is similar to Y else doesn't equal them being a plagiarist. You may make the argument where you say "oh but the style is so similar to others or it is the same as others" back to my earlier point, those who want to create content but don't want it to be extremely time consuming, will create a style which is not, which is specifically Slam's and others. Not all content has to stand out visually, for example, look at @LukaBigPants, he uses pictures of himself to animate his body, that is out of convivence since he does not need to draw or animate like Slam. Also he's not trying to be "intentionally grotesque", what are you talking about, there's nothing like that, maybe in his first video but you can't really say that for most of his content, especially on this video. Now your last point, you were actually right... but then in the first 10 words then it fell apart, "even if it was hard to make, you didn't try hard enough to be original or captivating enough to anybody else who didn't also just appreciate the novelty and absurdity of your influences" Anyway, that right there is rude, *very rude.* Just because he makes this type of content does not justify holding him up to a standard like PilotRedSun or any other influences that he may of been inspired from. Because if that were true, you would be screaming at every 10 year old who tries to be a famous lets play youtuber like Jacksepticeye or Markiplier, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if you already did. He doesn't have to make it captivating, Slam can try and he will but that's the way of the artist, to even say such a thing like "you didn't try hard enough to be original or captivating enough to anybody else who didn't also just appreciate the so and so" is a testament to your character and perspective of artists in general. Please don't consider yourself to a critic or even an artist.
