Yesterday my car was repossessed. I am a mother of 2 boys and y'all this sermon was right on point for me. I'm not mad cause I know I wasn't paying my note but I've found the joy in not having a car and being able now to get my steps in, show my children the city and they get the opportunity to ride public trans. Hey that's great. I wanna tell you something tho, not to judge or criticize or anything, just to tell you the truth. There's a verse in the Bible where God tells us to not do illegal things ( as long as the laws of the government don't contradict God's laws ). Again, I don't mean to judge or anything. Always remember that we are saved by grace through faith, not by our works We are called to live for Christ because we're already saved and He loves us, not to try to earn these things. I knew this fruit was going to be the hardest one for me. I'm currently in a season of deep grief and mourning. I know I can choose to have joy, but it also feels wrong, almost like I'm disrespecting those I lost. Can you mourn and grieve joyfully?
Yes, you can mourn and grieve while being full of joy. You have to allow yourself space for both because your body is going to process the grief even if you try to hold it in. This took me a few years to learn but my outlook changed once I accepted that both can be true. Those you lost wouldn't want you to sit in grief or allow it to overtake your life because that will lead to depression. I know it sounds super "Christianese" but the joy of the Lord really is your strength. When you feel down and weak, allow yourself to process your feelings then make a conscious decision to pull from the joy of the Lord for strength to keep going. Isaiah 40: 29 "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak."

I've been married for 10yrs but together for 12yrs. When I tell youuuu my life has improved especially internally the more and more I have listened to Holy Spirit! When he speaks I listen from big things to the smallest things and I am rewarded with so much WHOLENESS PEACE and JOY! He’s like a map I didn’t know I even needed until I started listening. Even if it makes me uncomfortable I just KNOW that his voice will not lead me into the fire but will deliver me the new place I need to be closer and closer to the blessing God has for me and my boys! The joy in that the Lord exists is my strength and JESUS IS MY SALVATION! Holy Spirit always guide me from what to wear on a day to what route to take while I’m driving, to what way to turn down a hallway, to what paths to take in life. Guide me always and bless me and my boys with discernment and the FAITH to know which voice that speaks is yours ALWAYS!
My brother in Christ. Can I submit to you that the joy you say you’re experiencing is really happiness? Joy isn’t easily fleeting. If you’re not having a productive morning or if you don’t have a good workout, you probably wouldn’t say the same thing. Happiness is a temporary, situation based emotion.
As the week comes to an end, Let us reflect on all we did and all we gave, Let's focus on the positive, not on the trend, For each day we lived, we were brave. We worked hard and we did our best, We faced challenges with courage and grace, We helped others and put them to rest, Knowing we made a difference in this place. Pastor Mike I need Joy and this message was definitely lead by the Holy Spirit. I have 4 kids my daughter is 13yrs old and I have triplets 9yrs old 2 girls 1 boy. I've been married for 10yrs but together for 12yrs. My life is a testimony and I wish I can share, but I'm a youth pastor and my JOY is gone not from being a youth pastor but in general by JOY is gone but I definitely keep my Faith that I'll get it back. Thank you for being real and h.o.t.

When I tell youuuu my life has improved especially internally the more and more I have listened to Holy Spirit! When he speaks I listen from big things to the smallest things and I am rewarded with so much WHOLENESS PEACE and JOY! He’s like a map I didn’t know I even needed until I started listening. Even if it makes me uncomfortable I just KNOW that his voice will not lead me into the fire but will deliver me the new place I need to be closer and closer to the blessing God has for me and my boys! The joy in that the Lord exists is my strength and JESUS IS MY SALVATION! Holy Spirit always guide me from what to wear on a day to what route to take while I’m driving, to what way to turn down a hallway, to what paths to take in life. Guide me always and bless me and my boys with discernment and the FAITH to know which voice that speaks is yours ALWAYS!

If you’re not having a productive morning or if you don’t have a good workout, you probably wouldn’t say the same thing. Happiness is a temporary, situation based emotion.
