In this episode, Did You Know Gaming takes a look at some Lego Movie Games facts, secrets, Easter eggs and history! There have been many Lego games over the years, including hits like Lego Star Wars, Lego Batman, Lego Harry Potter, Lego Lord of the Rings, and even Lego Marvel's Avengers. Through our analysis of these Lego secrets, as well as the series' gameplay and beta builds, we hope to show some of the more interesting facts from the making of Lego games and have their history explained.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes has an easter egg achievement called 'You look familiar' if you team Captain America and Human Torch together, a reference to Chris Evans having played both characters on screen.
The references and easter eggs on their late games are freaking awesome!
i think the reference was to the fact that captain america fought with a different human torch in ww2
It's really/also because Roger Craig Smith voices both characters in the game.

I’m glad LEGO chose that company to make LEGO games, they’re so passionate with inside jokes, references, and making sure the games are as child friendly, yet still funny, as possible.

Yo that thing about the added comedy to introduce kids worked big time. It got me into Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Batman and now I buy too much Star Wars stuff and worry about getting through college thanks Travellers Tales

They got away with a lot in the Indiana Jones games, I don't think Saw would ever be a problem.

Lego games are childhood,especially star wars the complete saga,my introduction for the franchise
I never really could get into any of the other games outside of the Starwars Franchise. They just feel.. Off somehow to me. Not to say I don't like them, I just never bothered playing them as much as I did the starwars ones
Spent 60+ hours 100% completing Lego Star Wars The complete Saga last year. So many memories

I really wished that they could make Lego Gremlins, Lego Back To The Future, Lego Toy Story, Lego Wizard Of Oz, Lego ET Game, Lego King Kong, Lego The Matrix, Lego The Terminator, Lego Robocop, Lego Jaws, Lego Predator, Lego Alien, Lego Ray Harryhausen, Lego Karate Kid, Lego Breakfast Club, Lego Ferris Bueler's Day Off, Lego Pirates Of Silcon Valley, Lego Say Anything, Lego National Lampoon, Lego Poltergeist, Lego Batteries Not Included, Lego Chronicles Of Narnia, Lego Jumanji, Lego Fast and Furious, and Lego Tron.

Lego City: Undercover is perhaps one of the best modern Lego games. I would reccomend checking it out (its on the WiiU and the Switch, BTW)
There's a obscure nod to the 60's *Fantastic Four* cartoon in *Lego Marvel* _Superheroes_ . You get a trophy/achievement for driving to the Baxter building as Magneto in his Magnetomobile and thusly recreating a scene from the animated series.
Also, you can unlock Indiana Jones in the Lego Star Wars prequel game as a tease for then upcoming lego game and fellow Lucasfilm IP. Likewise, it's possible to unlock Han Solo in the Indiana Jones game.

007 James That would be pretty sick. They already have the sonic license so I don't see why they couldn't get other SEGA ones. Plus they have portal and loads of midway games. Chances are they could put them in a game with some microsoft characters or something. Nintendo is a long shot though

In Lego Star Wars 2 during the first level "Secret Plans" Getting one of the minikits involves breaking walls to reveal blocks with a picture of grapes with eyes on top. It's actually a sprite from Muppet Racemania!

I've always liked Traveler's Tales, ever since their Amiga game "Leander" also called "Galahad" on the Genesis. :)
I underestimated how much passion went into these games.
I really miss Traveler's Tales man.. Toy Story 2 in particular was amazing. Shame they do nothing but Lego nowadays.
Lego Jurassic World also had a Back to the Future reference alongside other Spielberg films. Lego Batman 3 had a cameos from the Doctor Who Tardis and a Weeping Angel, and Jurassic World had the Lego Gataway, both hinting at Lego Dimensions.

The first Lego Batman game was the best Lego game ever made, it was just done perfectly in every way.
The Lego games while simplistic are fun to play when you just want some dumb fun. I’m happy they still make them to this day.

Lego Star Wars II for the PS2 is one of the first video games I remember playing.
The only Lego game I spent a lot of time on was Lego Batman on DS. I remember redoing missions over and over just to unlock all the characters. I never did.

In lego lord of the rings there's an achievement called "One Does Not Simply..." that you get by walking into Mordor in the open hub world.
I remember a friend of mine giving me a copy of Lego Star Wars just after it came out, thinking how stupid it would be, playing for a while, then looking up at the clock and wondering where 4 hours disappeared. After that, I got ALL the Lego games.

Oh man! My brother and i have been playing lego games since the first Lego Star Wars came out for the PS2. We still play them as adults when we're both home for the holidays and we try to 100% the game before the New Year. Too much fun!

sure Toys-to-Life is expensive, but also highly succesful, and come on, combining collectable figures for the actual games, rather then figures of game characters, that is just amazing

When I was in Middle school and the PS1 was relatively new, I had an idea of creating an RPG game made with lego characters and pieces. I never thought an idea I had thought up as a kid for a game to entertain myself and my class for a project would become a huge phenomenon. Seems I wasn't the only one who saw the potential of legos in videogames. Kick myself now I never wrote up a business proposal to pitch to a company, but I was just a kid.
The lego superhero games are my guilty pleasure as an adult.
In Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 the scene where the Guardians Of The Galaxy warn nick fury about Kang is a continuiation to the post credits scene of Lego Marvel Super Heroes 1.

Sry, but in my eyes Grandia 2 was a horrible letdown compared to the original. I am simply in love with the original and I think, that it is one of the best games of all time.

Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga is still my favorite Lego game. Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures is a close second.

Fun fact that I was hoping to see mentioned: Most LEGO Star Wars set instructions from 2005 feature an ad for the then-upcoming LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game. The Nintendo GameCube logo is not shown, hinting that a GameCube port was not confirmed at that point. One screenshot shows a level in which the player pilots a Naboo N-1 Starfighter.
