    Thank you so much for this. I'd never heard of Crown brushes. I'll check them out. And yes, I too have some MAC brushes made in France that I bought in the early 90s in Toronto where MAC began. I paid alot for them like you did but I still use them today and they're still in perfect condition.

      I love hearing that!!! The MAC brushes from the early 90s, made in France, were seriously my favorite brushes EVER!!!

    First and foremost. Thank you for such a comprehensive video! You did the homework for us who have no idea how to choose brushes for mature skin. You are a breath of fresh air and sunshine. I would love to be in your make up chair, but this is the next best thing! I appreciate your hard work. You truly are a wealth of knowledge. Placing a Crown order, they have quite a lot of kabuki brushes, can you recommend a few kabuki brushes. Again, thank you for such an informative video. Love your channel and YOU!

    Just now seeing this video and I needed it so much! I've never understood the reason for so many different styles of makeup brushes or if it really mattered. I'm 53 and it's never late or too old to learn! Thank you!

    The tip to use the EcoTools brush for cream blush was worth the price of admission. I am really into cream blushes these days and have that brush - never thought to use it for that but I am going to try it! Thanks

    I’m so glad I found your channel. I really enjoy your videos. I found the perfect old lady (53) concealer after watching your concealer video. I use the Catrice on drop concealer ( a little to dry) with the Tart Creasless ( too creamy ) when put over the other works perfect.

    Thank you for the tips on which brushes to use. Can you provide tips on how to clean make up brushes and how do we keep track of which brushes are ready for use and details. I usually am afraid of using brushes due to the fact that they need to be clean prior to use. I am also wary of using my fingers touching the make up as I don't want to contaminate the make up. Any tips will be appreciated.

      I've done a Tiktok on washing brushes and an IGTV but I'm happy to do a quick You Tube on washing brushes as well. Great idea! Generally, if you are using makeup 5-7 days a week, wash eye brushes once a week and face brushes every other week! I need to follow my own advice, sometimes I go weeks! Accountability time! But on my PRO brushes for work, after every single use!!!

    I have prayed for a UA-cam channel like yours. I found you on TikTok and followed you. What is your opinion on Paula Choice skincare? I have textured skin should I use a brush or a beauty blender? Thank you for teaching us over 40 beauties.

    • @maturemakeupmasterclass
      @maturemakeupmasterclass  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks so much, Larissa! Paula’s choice has some great products and I used them years ago but fell away. They are actually sending me some so I’ll do a review soon! As for whether to use a brush, blender, or fingers, it’s up to the formula and method you prefer. Some products like serums, tints, really apply best with fingers, skin on skin, but some products look better patted in with a damp blender. Is the formula silicone based or water based? Are you on retinol? Because brushes can actually cause sloughing of skin and makes a flaky mess. It’s really a trial and error process.

    I think it’s important to use well made brushes. Unfortunately, all of the brushes that you’re showing are cheap. Try looking at Fude, so Hakuhodo, chikuhodo, Bisyodo, etc- that kind of stuff.

    I am over 40 and don’t get me wrong I totally agree of what you’re saying less is more basically but I am over 40 and I am still doing my make up for glam fall concealer fall foundation eyeshadow eyeliner blush highlighter setting spray face powder setting powder exactly like I was doing in my 20s and 30s and my face still looks flawless I think it depends on your skin how well you age and how well your under eyes are the only problem
    Have is tearing from my eyes and I can’t stand it it ruins my eyeshadow it ruins my concealer I constantly have to fix it then I don’t like it and then I have to take it off and redo it and like I said from your last video I have an appointment with the doctor to get those prescription drops and I can’t wait to use them I’ve tried so many drops so many techniques ice on your eyelids powder primer ice taking off the oil‘s with blotting sheets nothing works all kinds of eyedrops and nothing works so I just can’t wait to use that eyedrops that you recommended that are prescribed but anyways yeah so I still do my make up like I did 20s and 30s and my skin is flawless

    • @maturemakeupmasterclass

      Trust me, I get all dolled up too still with ALL the products and lashes too! And yes, it definitely depends on skin, age, genetics, spf, but my face looked SO young until around 47 and that when I first really started seeing age and now that estrogen is leaving, the sag happens FAST, like overnight! Nothing prepares you for it! But at 47, most people thought I was late 30s.
