    Geezzzz... John, I think I'm gonna get tired from commenting on every video/tut I watch of yours... but I'm compelled to because you're the best darn Filmora teacher on YT. I'm now dependent on your channel for learning, understanding and implementing Filmora and its tools. I do have a suggestion for you if you don't mind.
    I think it would be better if when you arose in the a.m. to quickly get your morning routine done with and maybe a real quick meal... and then spend the rest of the day doing nothing else but making Filmora tuts. Unfortunately that means you should not speak to or interact with others as that would remove time you could be putting to good use. I think then you might stop in the early evening for a meal... get a good nights sleep.... rinse & repeat... I have a feeling that would be good for your channel...🤪🤪🤪🤪😜😜😜😜 THANK YOU!

    Great video. Just the right speed and level of detail. If you want to crop (or pan), how do you do that with both video tracks? I tried "grouping" them, but then the crop tool isn't available. Only way I know is to crop the background video track (or pan, zoom etc) then right click and "copy effect", then right click on the upper (color) track and "paste effect." Is there a better way?

    John, I am having fun using this technique. Another question: My drone shoots video in 5.4K (5472x3078) at 30fps. I set the project settings to this for editing in Filmora 12, BUT I can't seem to export the video at 5.4K! When I choose "custom resolution" in the export dialog, it won't let enter 5472. Is this an internal limitation of Filmora 12? Any workaround?

    • @funwithfilmora
      @funwithfilmora  9 місяців тому

      Hi Peter. Thanks for the comment. 👍
      I can't find anywhere where it states what the maximum export resolution is in Filmora but having a look around it does only ever mention 4k export so I can only assume that is the max. If the software has a 4k max export then I can't see a way around being able to export any higher than that. Also, I know UA-cam supports up to 8k but as most people have a maximum of 4k playable on their device I believe UA-cam will scale down anything higher than that to 4k to match their device.
      Is their a big difference in 4K and 5.4k video? Can you actually see a difference in quality? I'd be interested to know.

    • @peterinpensacola
      @peterinpensacola 9 місяців тому +1

      @@funwithfilmora Good response John. Thanks for looking. As far as I know, UA-cam allows a MAX of 4K video. Some videos claim to be "8K UHD", but that is bolux! If you click on the "gear" icon of a video in the player controls and click on "quality" you find that 4K (3840x2160)at 60fps is the most. True, they MAY have shot the video in 8K with a nice camera, but advertising that in the video title is misleading. My drone shoots at 5.4K (5472x3078) at 30fps which is 16M pixels, twice 4K's 8M pixels. Why throw that away? My point is, why not shoot video and edit it at the highest resolution possible for your camera? This gives more cropping options and zoom options.

    John! Is it possible to slow down the preview speed on the timeline in Filmora 12? I know how to change the speed of the clip, but when I preview the clip, I'd like the clip and the music to be slower when I'm editing. I can keep pressing the right arrow to step through frame-by-frame, but I prefer to playback at 1/2 speed!
