Yes, I'll do something similar to your setup. I know 40 ft is regulation distance from steak to steak. But I'm going to have my closer, maybe as close to 30 ft. At least around there. I was just going to throw some horseshoes to see how comfortably a distance throw is for me. I just want to have fun and not wear my arm out.
This was a test and a project for me. There is tons more videos on the tube to show you how to make a horseshoe pit. Just depends on how you want it to look. You can go hardcore and deck it out, or just go low pro and do the run of the mill regular, for fun like i did. I had friends over, and they said it was perfect. Nothing to fancy, does the job. Plus i can remove it if need be. I'm sure yours will turn out just as good .If you have any questions, i would be most happy to answer them.Have Fun!
Dub ljay . I was able to remove and pull the entire frame out in one shot. Wasn’t spiked that far in the ground. I utilize my fields in the summer. I did this as a project for a party I had and for fun as well. I can set up when ever I want in seconds. So therefor it’s portable.😂. The way I was thinking at the time.

Thanks for the picture & information. I hope to build one in our backyard. I mean I hope to get my hubby to build one. Looks great
Did you dig out the grass underneath the sand?
Aaron Brown ,
I mowed the grass right down to almost nothing. Then laid down commercial extra large garbage bags. Opened up.
Then dumped sand on it

It’s portable enough. Nice job. I’d enjoy playing on them.
