Super video! It's the next in the interesting series about autumn holidays and customs coming from the distant past. This time video presents different varieties of pumpkins, which are usually using in decorational aims. Excellent and comprehensive description of Halloween by the author with short films, technically well done and interesting presented. As usual, author gives us a rich new vocabulary, e.g. names of varieties of squash. Thank You, our Super Teacher for Your hard work!
Very good video. I always try to know the differences between squash and pumpkins. They are intimately connected to Halloween. At t the end of this video appears a link but no link to the Halloween one.

Contrary to what you have said in this video, the cultivation of this vegetable ( fruit too), pumpkin came from Asia to Central America, where the Spanish collected it to take it to Europe in the 15th century. However seems that its origin doesn't know with absolute precision because there are different theories about this topic!
@@TeacherMikeEnglish No literally every source says that, teacher Mike!, because I read it in different sources and that that you said is not true 100% due the existence of different theories. What happens is that that you said is more accepted but I reiterate what I have said like other theory about its origen came from Asia to America where the Spanish collected it to take it to Europe in the 15 th century.Exist other theory says its origen was in Africa and until in some country from South America
Stingy Jack was extremely wicked, but clever. He made a deal with the devil, and tricked him twice. He could never take his soul to hell. After Jack died, he was not welcome to go neither heaven nor hell. At that point, he was in darkness, and couldn't see anything. He was so scared that he begged the devil for help. The devil gave him a piece of fire from hell. Jack carved a turnip (pumpkin later), and put the fire inside it to light his way. Jack's spirit has been wandering all around the world since then. That was his punishment.
You Rock Mike!!! As usual

The winter squash variety Jack O'Lantern is a well-known species of ornamental pumpkins often used for Halloween.💜
You can say "species". We wouldn't use "race" to talk about plants.

Hi. I don't think that that is true. Literally every source will tell you that they are native to the Americas.

In my country there is no tradition of Halloween, but increasingly popular especially pumpkin carving.
