Greetings Dana - from Cape Town - very nice video - I also have a Tazz 2006 and trying to sort out my window mechanism which has come out of the 2 slots on the window mechanism and the window comes loose - also while buggering around managed to get the the door locked which I now cannot unlock so your video lets me see what is going on inside the door - still busy with this. Question how did you manage to get the door cover off without disconnecting the door latch puller which is connected to a nylon connection which I was very nervous about breaking as that then becomes another whole job? So oiled this also well to get it to sip off. So I have lubricated the inside of the window rubbers very well to slide easy and hope I can silicone the window back in the 2 slots. Then to try and see how to unlock the lock as right now the door will not close at all and try and work out which wire will unlock the door latch. Just a 2cents comment now that I have just discovered how to remove the circlip - the way you put the cir-clip back is upside down which will still work fine but next time easier to remove from the top rather than under the handle but you may have changed this before putting it back.
Dana has explained well about the cir clip removal so that is covered. I hassled more and was very nervous about removing the door latch puller but with lots of lubricant and long used pliers managed to get this off without breaking and later put back. I siliconed the window back successfully with lots of silicone in the 2 window slots at the bottom of the window and lubricated the window channels well for easy movement of the window. The window generally comes loose when winding down due to sticking in the window channels. So I have put a suction cup at the top of the window and now help/push the window down with the suction cup to ensure that this does not pull out of the window slots in the door. So far so good. Still need to have the drivers door lifted for closing alignment but it would seem that one cannot get to the door hinges without removing the front panel in front of the door - so this is another job. Unless Dana has a solution for this?
hi. no i did not have to remove the door hinges up to now. funny enough from early years i noticed the door sagging a bit. i need to fix or replace both the door mechanisms now. have to look online or try to figure it out.
@@TJ_Zungu hi, maybe your door mechanism is stripped. you will have to get one in a scrapyard. cant be fixed. read the other comments for a loose window fix

I also have the same issue with the driver side window being loose and falling down, how can it be fixed?
