I love seeing products like this broken, you can’t lose. Bedard is going to be an All NHL player in the future, unfortunately the media and some investors (I don’t know any actual collectors of him, everyone is just selling what they pull) have made anything but McDavid numbers out of the gate a failure. I feel sorry for the guy as he just gets on with it and didn’t ask for this.
Awesome break, I've opened quite a bit of this year credentials and it's honestly one of my new favourite products. You're right when you get an acetate card you usually will get an unannounced card like the empHATic Moments, Colorful Characters and Pro Visions. I honestly need to thank the Bedard hype and the 23-24 stuff because without it I probably never give 21-22 Credentials a look. I've got very lucky pulling an Adam Fox update rookie auto, a William Karlsson on card auto and a low numbered Seider rookie ticket. This product can be really solid and at the price it's going at it's pretty fair and it's a fun rip too. There's always people who will jump the gun on calling prospects busts (I've been guilty of that lol), it's way too early to say anything about Bedard. The kid isn't even 20 yet and the team around him is only slightly better than the completely horrible 23-24 team Chicago put out there. Chicago isn't ready to compete with the big dogs of their division (Minnesota, Winnipeg, Dallas and Colorado) and it's the same with Slaf and Montreal. The Habs (plus Detroit, Ottawa and Buffalo) haven't proven they're ready to usurp Tampa, Boston, Florida or Toronto. Slaf is obviously older and a bit further ahead in his own personal development than Bedard. When Montreal and Chicago become good we'll see the true value of Slaf and Bedard and that will reflect in their cards too. Thanks as always Fulton! #Dryden
I agree with your assessment. I'll evaluate Bedard's development circa age 23-24, not 19. My comment is more geared toward card speculation in the interim, prior to Bedard having elite linemates (i.e. not Jason Dickenson). To my mind, the story this year is the other Connor, and not Connor McDavid. Connor McMichael is breaking out at - unsurprisingly - age 23.
Bedard isn't a bust, though I don't think he will live up to the hype that was bestowed upon him. Being mentioned in the same category as Crosby and Mcdavid isn't fair to the kid imo. Also the hobby has over inflated his value and projected him to be outer worldly. Nice card BTW.
Bedard has no ceiling, just like Lindros, McD, and Crosby. But all their cards tanked after the high early watermark. Lindros suffered 90s mass printing. Crosby got concussed and his YG dipped to $80. McD broke his collarbone, and UD flooded the zone with products relative to fleeting demand. Plus, McD will sign for the next 50 years, and UD will continue to issue tribute RCs in mid to high-end products, watering down true RCs. And Bedard's hype lives in a new social media echo chamber, with renewed 90s mass printing. In all instances, their entry into the hobby has been a hard sell. But, my underlying point is cards are penny stocks on unsound fundamentals, and an opportunity cost compared to sound investing in trending blue chip equities... that actually contribute to society.
Come on. He's 19. No one is giving up on generational talent, when his Kurri, Jagr, Malkin, or Draisaitl has yet to be drafted. The premise of my observation is selling the all-time parabolic highs out of the gate, just like we did with Lindros, Crosby, and McDavid. When Crosby's YG fell to $80 during his concussion, it was a buy signal. Multitudes of casual observers and outside money in Year 1 or Year 2 is a sell trigger.
Sweet Pro-Vision Card!!

Caufield is looking fantastic now. It's a matter of just waiting for them to develop and pray for an injury-free season.
I don't know why Credentials get so much hate, It's one of my favorite!! Love the Debut ticket access autos especially this years edition
$45 is a great stocking stuffer for the kids. Plus, Credentials has some shiny cards, which the little guys love. #DRYDEN

BREAKING NEWS : Bedard is a BUST…I’ll gladly take all those RC’s for those ready to jump off the train now 😂
Wow…I typed this even before hearing you bring it up. Can’t believe people are so quick to give up on a guy with that shot.
