  • Join me on an incredible adventure along Magheraroarty Beach (Magheroarty), one of Ireland's most breathtaking coastal landscapes! This remote stretch of sand, with its stunning 360-degree views of the Atlantic, Muckish Mountain, and the islands of Tory, Inishbofin, Inishdooey, and Inishbeg, is a paradise for adventurers, surfers, and nature lovers.
In this video, I set off at sunrise, walking along the shoreline toward some mysterious abandoned boats that have been weathered by time and the elements. As I explore the wreckage, I can't help but wonder about the stories these vessels could tell… and if something else is hidden nearby.
From there, I continue my journey, aiming to reach the end of the 3.5 km sand spit, but with all the incredible geological features and constantly shifting tides, I find myself zigzagging and getting wonderfully distracted along the way. Magheroarty Beach is a perfect example of modern clastic geology, where wind and water continuously reshape the landscape. I could spend hours just studying the patterns in the sand!
Unfortunately, I run out of time before reaching my final destination, but the adventure doesn't end there… A few days later, I discover that there are hidden geocaches in this area-one of them right near the abandoned boats! So, of course, I had to return for my first-ever geocache find!
Before heading back, I also take a moment for some plastic cleanup, because every little bit helps in keeping this beautiful coastline pristine.
If you love coastal explorations, treasure hunting, and stunning landscapes, you won't want to miss this adventure!

The boats are so beautiful on the shoreline. You are making me want to visit Ireland again. I use to live in Co Kerry for a winter. It was crazy and fun. Loved the coastline and cows
