If someone has a passion for something that's not totally fucked up I love hearing them talk about it. Ed, a question for you. With that big of a music collection, how do you chose what to listen to? I'm having trouble picking out the perfect artist/album for listening, since I always feel like I'm missing out on the other tons of stuff I could be enjoying as well :)

It's been said before many times but I'll say it again: With the growth of the internet and increased ease an financial viability, there are more and more bands being able to write, record and release their material to the masses. The market is over-saturated. There's a whole bunch of crap out there but also a whole load of great music. I tend to find bands that I like and use Metal-Archives and UA-cam to find bands that are similar to them.
invadernik I often see a band in my library and think "wow I haven't listened to that in a long while" and just feel kinda bad :D Like I'm neglecting it lol

I really love your videos. I watch some other guys like coverkillnation but I feel like you have a maturity and the rare ability to think about things logically that many people don't have and many metal heads in my area of USA it is even more rare...I tried bonding with my boss at work over metal. There was a 2 day festival I said I liked Saturday slip knot, bmth, merlyn Manson. And he basically said that not one of the 20 bands on my day was worth a piece of dog shit. Not mad just sitting there like damn..I can listen to Katy perry and slayer and even though I don't like the vocals in either I can admire the beat or a clever line.

As a gay metalhead from New York City I cannot agree more with much of what you said regarding sexual orientation and gay culture. Like Amsterdam, every June my hometown becomes a ridiculous spectacle celebrating gay "culture." It always struck me as odd to base your entire identity on sexual preference; to me the underground/extreme metal scene feels much more like "home" than simply hanging and associating with people because you all like shagging the same sex. I've chosen to build my identity around the music I love instead of the people I lust after. If and when my sexuality comes up people are almost always surprised as I'm far from an effeminate, affected stereotype. I rarely feel the need to bring this up because quite frankly, what I do and with whom is no one's business but my own. I even considered not commenting at all but felt the need to give you props. Love your videos man, keep on keeping on! \m/
