I love the little details! Like GF’s skirt thingy changes colors depending on which arrow color it is! And also the little icons at the bottom change with a little effect to it. The creators of the mod did a really good job with this.
Man, after the mod’s trailer from Funkkfast 2, this Madoka Magica mod is amazing, for a demo, I love that GF as a magical girl here, the art and songs are so good and the devs did a great job!
Lore of Madoka Magica: 1. Do not become a sorceress for the sake of love and other nonsense, 2. Do not use your magical powers to harm people, and 3. Use abilities when necessary, but it is forbidden to be a sorceress all the time, because... your strength may be distorted (additional 4 point. - Saiko doesn’t care at all about all the points, her main goal is to be with her love)... But the mod is still cool
Sort of right? But mainly is that being a magical girl has its pros and cons and if at all try to avoid kyubey’s contracts and appearance as he was more greed to enter to people as the thought of getting any wish granted can make a selfless person to become selfish unless for the sake of others not yourself like Madoka who wished to be a fairy? Who can cure witches and will be turned back into a magical girl but for herself? That’s left to the unknown. But then again it’s an anime meaning that if the producers went with my approach then, they wouldn’t be the magical girls anymore nor result in the death of Mami on episode 2 (spoilers). The take away from this was the moral of the anime as mentioned with avoid making a contract with kyubey compared to the anime’s plot of how each of the girls got their titled roles of magical girls.

This mod is genuinely incredible in so many ways- even at the beginning where you get the “would you like to make a wish prompt”, followed up by a beautiful transformation sequence that feels so much like the rebellion transformation scenes. The songs vibes changing depending on the character- Sayaka’s is a friendly, but determined competition, Madoka singing with you instead of against you, and Kyoko’s feeling like a serious fight (esp with the “dodge” mechanic.) and even the little details like Sayaka’s health bar going up during healing segments because she has a healing ability in canon, the little pause menu art, the credits being a song itself (with a banger ending song btw). Even girlfriends OUTFIT feels straight out of Madoka Magica. 10/10
0:54 this may be a take that somewhat throws Magica logic to the wind, but, i like to think that Girlfriend is able to embrace, AND reject despair, since not only is she so dense, but it's because of this that she's not familiar with the feeling of despair, resulting in her both foolishly AND happily accepting it, turning it into power along with her hopes, loves, excitement and etc. After all; she I s her. By "Her", i mean that she IS girlfriend. Not the brightest, but that doesn't mean that she won't take that negativity and not turn it into something brilliant, positive, and absolutely Funk-tastic! . If this sounds weird to anyone, I apologize wholeheartedly! 😅

I am going to be completely honest, seeing this brought back so many memories, but it took me looking at the anime's wiki to realize that this was the anime i was thinking of, all i needed to see was the one word... "Witch".
Well this is an interesting mod. As a fan of Madoka Magica, I love this mod is paying tribute and respect to the source material. Of course GF will star in this mod, since Madoka Magica focuses on a female ensemble cast. Also it makes sense GF would become a magical girl. I love the background and the texture. Especially how the girls interact. Love how the icons show their personalities, and I like how lively the animation is. Way more livelier than the literal animation of the PMMM anime. No offense love the anime but the animation may not have aged well especially when they talk. I do feel it sucks we didn't get to see Mami and Homura rap but to be fair this is in its beta development demo stage. So I'm sure they're gonna battle GF someday. Overall I hope we could see some of the Magia Record cast or some of the spin off characters such as Suzune Magica, Tart, Oriko and Kazumi and their spin off material down the line. But that's just my opinion and thoughts.
