I had long hair for like 4 year's and everyone is forcing me to cut my hair for job interview. But now I don't think I will cut my hair let's see how will they react 🤣 i am obsessed with my hair.

About a month ago, I put half my hair into a pony tail for a Thor cosplay. I really liked the way it felt, not having my hair in my face all the time, and several people (including the girl I like) complemented me on it and I’ve been doing it like that since.

Thanks for the tips. I have long hair myself, currently reaching down my mid-back as far as length goes, and am in the process of switching careers and with it, job interviews come into play. With talking to other guys who have long hair who have been in a similar situation, I've noticed the pressure to cut the hair for the interview comes from either themselves or friends/family members, and not so much the job itself - unless they explicity state so such as the military, policing, border patrol, etc.
This whole time I have been really really proud of my hair.....and then boom MR. Engineer comes out of the woodwork with his Jesus like hair! Like WTF! For a second I almost fell in love with this dude! I planned our whole life together! And I have a wife and kids lol .....nah but all jokes aside his hair was definitely top notch !
I have put my hair into a braid and both left it out for formal occasions and twisted it into a low bun for interviews. Have gotten compliments on both and never missed out on a job on account of it.

I completely agree Manoj! I am in finance and there are a few others including myself with long hair in my firm. One of the most successful agents wears his down with a wet look but has medium length. My beard and hair is the same length is the same as yours and was concerned about it preventing success and judgement being cast, but it’s about what you know and can do. Not what you look like. Clean looks my friend 👌

I think the most neutral hairstyle for men with long hair is a low ponytail, that is a ponytail bound at the nape of the neck.
It has two problems, though: hair must be long enough to reach the neck and flyaways. Flyaways can be corrected with some hair cream. If hair is not long enough, one can try to do a neat part at the centre of one's head.
If the hair is very long, I see no problem with a single low braid. Even a French braid, if clean, can look formal enough.
But low pony tails tend to mess too much with the shirt's collars.............
