It’s tough bc if we keep mistreating people who use starters, we’re killing our own player base. I always try to treat people who seem confused or make mistakes with as much kindness (and providing explanations) as much as possible, because one bad run of mean people CAN and WILL ruin it for them, and they will NEVER play Dandy’s World ever again. If you LOVE Dandy’s World and want it to keep updating and getting better, it needs a playerbase. Bullying people in it will just kill the game altogether because no one will play anymore. Qwel won’t be able to earn enough revenue for it, or the playerbase will dwindle and if the devs lose interest due to a dead game, it just stops updating altogether. Kindess is the answer to so many of our desires but it’s easy to be angry in the moment.
This needs more likes! I atchually started playing Dandys world yesterday and i absolutely love it but i have run into some toxic players as i was a boxten [one of my only toons at the moment.], id hate for the game to die out just because of people cant be nice! I mean we all start out as noobs like myself!? Im glad to see another kind person on here :]
I also started playing yesterday as poppy and I went up to a group of plp doing a run and they said 'No starters are u blind?' So i had to play by myself and solo.I got toodles tho :)
I was a beginner during the shelly update, they said pro run i joined as vintage poppy so i learned a bit before i joined, i accidentally opened the rodger capsule not knowing it was him, and i got hated on, but the crazy thing is i survived more than the host.
THATS LITERALLY WHAT HAPPENED IN MY RUNS WHEN A STARTER WAS THERE AND THEY COMPLETED A MACHONE THEY GOT SHOUTED AT AND LIVED MORE THEN 90% OF THE MAIN TOONS (i died before Poppy but i like starters :3)
NGL, I didn't know there was a difference between the capsules and his capsule for a long time. So I would always get myself hurt, and one time even hurt another player(and simultaneously got myself killed). I felt so bad. They weren't really rude about it, just reasonably a bit upset(I obviously wasn't a starter based on my toon, I was just oblivious at the time).
i remember when i first wanted to play dandy’s world, i asked my friends for a tutorial since i knew nothing about the game. most of them just said “ you can play solo “ but my problem was that i didn’t know how the game worked or what i supposed to do. until one of my friends came along that was patient enough to give me a step by step tutorial on how the game worked, she was a great help and now i have astro in dandy’s world !! i wanted to thank her but now she’s gone off the internet and wanted to fulfill her dreams. i hope your doing okay out there quill.

Thanks for the feature on your channel! 🐱💗 I originally made the the video due to me running into multiple instances of starters just simply being 'mistreated' due to the sole reason that well...they're just starting out. I truly do believe that once this issues gets highlighted eventually, future newcomers of the game could have a more enhanced experience and less toxicity (especially once the full in-depth tutorial comes out) which should also equate to better public team performance and less unnecessary gatekeeping!
Oh boy do I have first hand experience with this here we go: 1. I was in a run once with 2 boxtens (one normal skin another vintage). Don't remember the exact details but I think a cosmo or a brightney kept blaming the boxtens for things that were happening and "sabotaging the run" to the point they got one killed. Think they also said something mean about starters. There was a Vee defending the boxtens cuz the vintage one was actually helping alot with the machines and doing great. Anyhow, their arguments got them both killed (typing) leaving me and the vintage boxten to make it till floor 12 or smth. Ended up friending this boxten and joined a run with them...*they had a pebble this whole time and were a great distractor* 2. I went to a public server and saw this astro and some other toon doing a "pro" run. I went up to see if I could join and the second I did astro straight up said "no Finn not you go." I was really confused and even their friend was ( they said "Finn could be a pro?"). I've made it to floor 22 multiple times and have a Shelly 💀 3. We did a dandy run and this ABSOLUTE MAD LAD JUKED AND ALMOST SURVIVED DANDY PEBBLE AND FINN AS A BOXTEN IT WAS AMAZING TO WATCH IDK HOW THEY DID IT!! HE WAS THE LAST SURVIVOR
I have started runs specifically for newbies or people that just got a new toon and are therefore not used to their play style. As annoying as newbies can be sometimes (such as them buying on dandy runs or picking up bandages at three hearts with distractor at one) they all deserve a chance. I remember when I first started playing Dandy’s World. I ended up hiding in a corner the whole time while my friend did the work. I didn’t make it past floor one as i was terrified. I remember when even just getting to floor 4 was a huge achievement for me. I remember helping my bestie when she started. I remember my joy when I got my first toon other than poppy. Now I’m a full blown dandy’s world player. I love the fandom, I’ve made OCs, I have mastery on said first toon (toodles) I main as goob and dearly love distracting. I’m heading for pebble, I’ve got 100% research on like all of the common Twisteds and the only one left i have yet to encounter is Astro. I call Dandy Dandicus Dancifer and yell at him when his shop pops up. I don’t ship any characters, but only bc i just don’t rlly like dandy’s world ships. I get excited when we get a main, get extremely upset when we have run after run after run and get 13+ floors with not a single main (yes it has happened and continues to happen) I love introducing the game to my friends. I’ve made Dandy’s world videos on my channel, i have a private playlist of all my favorite dandy’s world UA-cam videos. And why? This happened because my friend was kind enough to show me the game, and i was brave enough to enter the elevator as a newbie. Please be nice to newbies. Ah! I didn't really get the new player experience. I started as a Boxten, and an amazing team allowed me to come with them! We ended up getting to floor 22 on my first ever run. They taught me how to play, and to this day 22 is still my record. :3
I never had this problem when I was a starter, my first run an Astro carried me all the way to 13 all while explaining things I didn’t understand. My first main was Astro, thank you random Astro, I’m glad you made it to floor 21 after I died :)
so theres a couple different types of poppies/boxten. 1. we will call this one 10cotton. see, 10cotton likes to pick up bandages and not let anybody else use machines. 10cotton also asks cosmo to heal her when shes at 2 hearts. 10cotton never talked before that. 10cotton has no trinkets and thinks poppy is the best toon because its free. 10cotton is the bad starter. 2. we will call this one DarkKnight. DarkKnight has dog plush and speedy shoes. DarkKnight asks if anyone needs bandage / med before she picks them up. DarkKnight lets people who have wrench do the machine. DarkKnight is saving up for tisha (rlly good toon to save up for btw). DarkKnight has done 4 mastery quests. DarkKnight is super cool. DarkKnight is the person you want. 3. we will call this one Slay24_7. Slay24_7 is just trying to do mastery quests before she goes back to being Vee, Shelly or Pebble. edit: DUDE YOU GUYS I JOINED 10COTTON AGAIN!! THE EXACT SAME ONE.. they wanted everyone to be shelly for some reason tho
I was once a boxten(i had shelly and pebble) there was a pro only run you know the drill i came up them and said abc and they said "ew a starter get away from us stinky" THEN I BECAME PEBBLE AND SHELLY- +they begged me to join Edit:wow i've never been the top comment 😃 Edit2: i got vee. Edit3: so i did this again but with poppy and vee it was so much different they shouted at me to leave going to different elevators and then i said wait and turned into all of my mains
Lol i wanted to join a long run as a boxten (i had veemote and magnifying glass on) and this gigi yelled at me saying "NO BOXTEN" and the vee that wanted to join defended me "BOXTEN HAS VEEMOTE" "I HATE YOU" and i turned into astro and walked away, then the vee apologized man i love these types of players (for more context on why i was boxten, i mainly use boxten because of his passive :P)
Today I was using scraps because it got buffed, and I accidentally walk into a main only run. They scream at me to leave and I change to vintage Shelly to join. They all died on floor 5. Being a main does not mean you are good lol
@@Hellbreaker258Scraps Got A Buff to their ability. The cooldown was changed from 30 to 25, the range of the ability was increased and the time it took to actually get to their target decreased by like 0.2 seconds. It was a nice buff but didnt do much to make scraps better. When I first heard of the buff I would think they meant the stats of the toon.
i think saying no to a starter toon joining is ok if you do it politely, sometimes when people want to go to higher floors they don’t really want to babysit a new player and that’s ok, as long as you are still polite and treat them with respect when you say no
This argument reminds me of one time I was in a run with a Boxten who was asking everyone for help and everyone ignored them, and its no ones responsibility to help but I decided to tell them everything I knew and showed examples within the gameplay, 1 month later we're still playing together and they've gone so far, they became a great player.
When I'm playing with my friends one of them is a starter i set kinda rules to tell them how not to die like 1: don't run in the middle of any distracter and try to be a hero 2: if a machine has a little completion leave it alone for the person to come back to 3:when the eye appears next to the stamina bar run and try to hide behind a corner 4: don't run in rnds circle 5: don't waste stamina
About the machine completion, does this mean if it was started you shouldn't finish It? I thought It'd get us out of the floors faster when they got chased by twisteds
I don’t mind starters as long as they try. Once I was in a server with two poppies. One of the poppies actually helped while the other just camped by the elevator the entire time and didn’t even do one machine. I was doing one and there was another one right by me and I kid you not that poppy just walked past it. That poppy bought G U M B A L L S on a D A N D Y R U N. Everyone got mad at them so we just sacrificed it to a boxten.
as someone who was a victim of this type of bully despite having similar game experience. Aka Dead by Daylight, I actually cried because of the toxic side and I almost quit, But thanks too 2 different players, I was able to enjoy playing Dandy's world. But I now get bullied in a different way. I have had people try to do 'social experiments' on me as if I'm one of the bad guys cause I have a main now. When I was simply not doing a run at the time, as I was waiting for friends.
I was playing as Tisha once (I was a starter) and somebody said “xyz for pro run, tell me your highest floor” and I said 16, that was a lie I just wanted to be in a good server so I could progress quickly, and when we got in, FLOOR 4 AND I WAS THE ONLY ONE STANDING! I wasn’t just hiding either, I completed almost every one of the machines while they stayed close to elevator and got killed
Im a "starter" but i know everything to do in a round and a dandy run . I use boxten tho, but i don't want poppy or shrimpo. So im aiming for finn. I dont play dandys world alot, so i dont grind. But i HATE when someone saus im not allowed in their dandys run because they think im a starter. Idk if bpxtens are supposed to be able to do a dandys run.
Boxten is a great character held by the playerbase, it has the same extraction that Vee has when in a full lobby while having better overall stats (stealth and speed) of course he has his limitations and is not the best but honestly is in the top 5 extractors idk if above or below Glisten.
Please be a Finn starter too, Finn doesn't get much love, he's pretty decent, his stamina is a bit shit but you can work around it, I actually use Finn to distract sometimes with speed trinkets and sodas 😭
Thankfully, I had a pretty good experience as a Poppy, and I still think Poppy and Boxten are good toons. Also, NEVER underestimate a Shrimpo! I love Shrimpos so much ever since there was a hacker Shrimpo, and he was distracting the twisteds by flying. All hail Shrimpo and Starters!

No starters" runs I joined it was always the pebbles, goobs, shellys and sprouts who died first, I just laughed at them and I remember that one starter hater Sprout who literally died on floor 1 to RAZZLE AND DAZZLE cause bro went to do a machine, ran in the circle and didn't even run away LOL, he just raged, I laughed at him and he started literally insulting me in russian it was so funny and silly XD and I often play with starters to help them, yeah they are often scared to go somewhere but It takes one "cmon you're brave, you can do it" and they do extremelly well, you just tell them how to avoid the twisteds and you have lots of fun with em, especially cause they still have lots to experience and it's so exciting to get a main cause you know that they see something new and get some research. I got to decently high floors, like 15-20 with random starters that I helped, it was super fun ^^ if they try to get in the distractors way then it also just takes a little explaination and they will understand.

once i actually tested this out and when i said abc to a dandy run i said i wasn't a starter but one on them said "proof?" then i showed them my toons and let me in. so i do agree with you, that needs to stop.
There few toxic people 1- main run or pro run *most of them die before enter floor 10* 2- troller player *discover to act like a new player to make outer people hate new players more* 3- doesn't care people *they just usually break your run and tell you to enter private and stupid stuff like this* 4- insane person *they just exist to kill you in game in every single way* 5- toxic player *not really need to explain...they just yapping too much*

I was playing flutter, for some reason this sprout and two cosmos decided not to help anyone else but each other, they then started trying to get me killed bc ‘flutter is bad’ and ‘I’m a noob’ bc I had no mains- honestly it was so annoying, apparently I was not allowed to enjoy the game and instead had to complete it all within the 2 months I had been playing. I get genuinely stressed whenever I play with sprouts or cosmos now
Ive had too many "Starters" Sabotage my run 😢 1.Poppy camping the elevator 2.Poppy leading twisted's on to our cosmo 3. Poppy stealing all the medical supplies, and or picking up any and all items and insta useing them. Our party got done with her so we all offed ourselves and left her to be alone Our Party was, Tisha,Cosmo,Toodles,Boxten,pebble. And this left a sour taste in our mouths for Starters likely being trolls so now we just play in a private server.
When I first joined dandys world, not knowing why people were like: “abc for ___ run!” I went in one and a random person joined me, they were nice and I told them how I was new and they helped me out! So the next few days I began learning the LoS mechanic, how to save stamina- etc. but I still haven’t bought any other toons than Poppy as she was my starter. Yesterday, (I’m still a bit new to dandy’s world) I joined a server and there wasn’t anyone hosting runs except 2: “ABC for long run! Only join if you’ve made it over floor 20!” And “ABC for (I don’t remember) run! NO STARTERS!” So, i server hopped and came across a okay server. But please, be nice to starters
Once when I was boxten saving up for Toodles, I joined a "TiShA aRmY" run. I never bought from Dandy and got blamed by one person when I was LITERALLY NO WHERE NEAR HIS SHOP. 2 others tried to defend me, I accidentally let out my anger, saying why are 'beginners' so mistreated, said that I barely play and don't have a bunch of ichor because I have trauma from toxic fans harassing me in other games on roblox. I got even more harassed. That one player made me hate Tisha, as the one Vee from another game made me hate Vee. Please do not blame, harass, or criticize others. It is not make you look cool. be mature.
This is so real cuz I have almost all mains but I prefer to play as Boxten bc hes my favorite toon but anytime I try to join even if im using his vintage ppl always tell me to get lost or call me new or bad
TLDR: First play I got some chill people who taught me. Now I help starters The first time I ever played was as Poppy. My first run, no one left, they all stayed. I managed to learn the game as a few people taught me (I had read the info page though.). Now, a month later I have every character in the game. Even if I was bombarded with toxicity, I refused to give up. I read and watched guides. Now, whenever I see a curious starter, I make sure to stay with them and guide them on the right path :)
I just started today and,in the elevator there is dandy’s shop,he was pretty mad because nobody would buy anything,then everyone was saying “don’t buy anything”etc but someone bought something and everyone blamed it on me😭😭😭
It hurts me when doing dandy world i see poppy and boxton standing on the sides watching players get their team together saying "abc for main hunt, abc for long run,abc for pro run" and thats just messed up i understand that players want to grind but its just sad when they say no starter's or new players to me it doesn't matter what toon you are your suppose to have fun but toxic players get on my nerves thats why i always say "abc for normal run all toons allowed" they just need to teach them how to play
I started Dandy's World within the last month and I was just lucky to be able to join people who didn't make a fuss. The only complaint I got was some random trying to purposely kill me off until they realized I was good as skill checks and went "oh, my bad. I didn't realize" they just assume all poppys and boxtens suck. I didn't realize how bad it was until I got a new character and saw how people kept excluding starters and being mean to them then there would be others trying to explain that just because someone is new doesn't mean they're bad. I'm a player who likes to 'complete' things but the behavior towards starters has made me hesitant in trying to master boxten.
One time I was playing as a Boxten (I bought him for some reason) with an Astro, Pebble, Sprout, and a Poppy. They all were partnering up and the Astro Taught me how to play, we got to floor 24 (I was the second last to die and Astro was the last), he was willing to waste his time and tell me the games rules, like how Razzle & Dazzle worked, all the mains, while Pebble would distract so I could learn. I messed up a machine (due to being on phone) and I lived, thanks to the pebble (he died to twisted Pebble in Astros room)
I only hate players when they get in a elevator after we clearly said “Friends only” wich hey it can be mean but me and my dw friend group are mostly tecnic players (or pro) and we dont want any other people than us, whether its a poppy who just joined in or a vintage vee
Really funny how when you play the game, no people want to join you because you're a new player. I remembered there was a group of pro players that carried me all the way to floor 20, me playing as boxten and goob distracting. They were so incredibly nice and I appreciate them not saying toxic stuff even when I'm completely useless. After that, I did two floors alone without anyone. 2 solo runs and I could only survive 2 floors. Its really disappointing seeing new players getting dumped in the trash by pro players. If you read this, thanks for reading this long story of mine I really appreciate it.
I actually remember my starter days, very little help, then i got shrimpo and i found out he sucks so i grinded for finn or sumthn and then scraps and then goob and now im grinding for astro but school is getting between it because THE HOMEWORK

This also happened but the thing I was FORCED And I died on purpose on floor 2 (I was a pebble) and they said “why did you die pebbles?” I just said “yall are pathetic, you all forced me to distract and I never had the right trikents.” I never recorded it and I just blocked them all (but my twin pebbles) and I would not play in public servers (ow my hands hurt-)

I joined a game and we had a starter (Poppy she told us it was her second time playing and she knew nothing) and the group I was with LOVED explaining and showing her the ropes due to how toxic and hard our starting was, we all talked about it and we got pretty far for a normal run dieing to pebble on floor 15 or 16 (i don't remember-) and im happy we got to give her a chance and positive experience!
I once started up a "starter run" / tutorial run, where i helped out a bunch of starters and they got to floor 14 and HIGHER whereas I died floor 12 to Shelly! They did great and went above and beyond, and the only people who died out of all 8 players were the non-starters who were helping out the starters get to higher levels. Props to all the people in that run.
I’m a new player, nobody, and I mean NOBODY would play with me, so I was only ever in a single run, maybe another person here or there. It takes so long doing everything alone and having every twisted on me as a new player. I just bought roger, but that was with code ichor.

(The host was a scraps) and didn't even mention 'no starters' then said something along the lines of: "no poppy!!!" (In all caps btw or smth like that…) then i turned into astro and then she had the audacity to think i would join her run like errr no?? 😭🙏 she even said "JOIN ME" after i denied for the 2nd time
When people pretend to be noobs, I always catch them in the act. I find it kind of annoying "iM nOt A sTaRtEr" and I always say "You either join as the character or not"

I literally was Tisha as a distractor, a scraps found a med and I picked it up, and she wanted Cosmo to get it. She started telling me I’m a dumbo and to kms even though I would’ve died if she was all the way on the other side of the map, I reported them thankfully
I started a few days ago there was a elevator with a open space so i went in one said “yea we are cooked” and they all left so what i learned is if you have poppy or boxten they just think your bad its not like we have shrimpo stats
REAL like i swear they always think poppy/boxtens are on shrimpo level of trash lol, but in reality boxten actually can be good with extraction depending on how many players are in the round
so look as someone who started recently (like 2 weeks ago...) I honestly do not care. like I think its fine if you want to get to high levels and don't want dead weight on your team. some people are overly toxic to you if you die, and I think that is not ok, but I don't even see that very much. but hey that's just my opinion 👍

The fact that when i First started Dandys world, i didnt immediatly get hated on by a Lobby because one of my Friends that Played dandys world longer than i did teached me how to Play it-
Alot of times people say "pro only run" because they dont want someone dying floor 1, leading the twisteds to them, or going to the distractor and ruining the distracting. The person was only saying "show me your toons" because they didn't want a complete starter, and poppy is probably like the worst toon in the game (my opinion), they werent being toxic at all-
This is my point. Personally I understand that starters are DEFINITELY hated on in this game☠️ however I feel like the people that pretend to be starters make things 10x worse. Pretending to be a boxten starter with no trinkets and then get mad when someone doesn’t want u in their pro run and then proceed to shame them is (excuse my language) fucking stupid😐. This goes for those one character runs aswell, I saw two fake starters bullying a Tisha calling her “mean” bc she didn’t want to have them in her TISHA ONLY run. Overall people who pretend to be starters need to realize they don’t do any good they make things worse even if their the best player ever forcing yourself in a group where your clearly unwanted is just annoying. (Note: I don’t rlly apply to this to real starters btw that’s a different story they just learning the game obviously👍)
Fr as long your not rude to the starter then hosting a pro or main only runs is good and these type of runs aren't as common as Dandy runs or main hunts. Especially Dandy to many are thirsty for the flower boy 😂

It was just me who was treated different when i was a beginner?Maybe because we had other beginners but if i remember i was a Boxten, the first run that i was playing was with another Boxten and a Tisha(Boxten died on floor 1 and Tisha floor 2) and i was scared because i was alone so i left. 2 time homewever was with 2 other Boxten and a Poppy(all of them died on floor 1) and i died on floor 2 because of Flutter, later in a update we had ichors i was sad because i wanted Goob but i couldn't untill i found i can buy another good toon Tisha! And by the way i got Vintage Tisha yesterday❤😊
Don't worry, Tisha is the best inversion you've ever done, she literally just does everything, after you get speedy shoes(Dandy store) and dog plush(Toodles research) you walk faster than most twisteds so you can distract easily, an alternative to dog plush is Pink bow(Poppy's research) I learned to distract with bow first the only thing is that you need to sprint burst, but I can tell I learned to distract better than most players, they even get surprised when I'm managing Dandy, Scraps and Goob all at the same time, but is not that hard. If you prefer to be an extractor you probably still want speedy shoes at the start and wrench, then change for Participation(Shelly research) and one free slot(I mean you run whatever you like) And for support Tisha, I recommend Pink bow + Diary(Flutter research) this allows you to run into a Peebles without taking aggro(of course mind the LoS) and use your ability. If you're pairing with a Goob, replace Diary for either the necklace from Cosmo, Speedy shoes or an extractor trinket cause you still have some downtime on the active. Also general tips: While distracting is better to pick a spot on the map, there's always a safer spot to kite, if there are machines you can change it a little bit or wait until is the only machine needed, you never want to distract around the entire map, because you'll end up killing a lot of people. The lower your stamina the better is Pop soda, but the chocolates are amazing, a box of chocolates is 10 times better than a BOTTLE of Pop if you have 125 stam or below(Tisha, Shrimp and gG) Knowing your items will make you really good at the game no matter what. Priming machines is a really important technique that will increase your survivability at least by a 30% To prime a machine you wanna do it as much as possible without finishing it, that way you can call in the chat "GTE" so people can go to the exit before panic mode enters in the equation(especially important if Glisten or Peebs is in the floor). Speaking of which... Calls, make calls the more your team knows the more they will be alert for the current floor and the more they'll trust you, if you know to make calls they will know you at least know how to play, so they'll take less risks.(Even tho you can't do much while distracting) Learn about the stealth of toons, i always see Goobs and Peebles avoiding Astros, Toodles or Cosmos (or vice versa) When there's no worries, they can be literally on top of the twisteds and won't be attacked since they have lots of stealth. And finally(cause I don't know much more that I could say) at the start of the floor and/or if you have no distractors, always make sure to look before turning a corner, that's the best way to avoid twisteds and not annoy your distractors, Brightney can never steal your twisteds but that will only happen if both are aware of each other. I was playing earlier and there was a boxy who tried to harass pro players but the pro players Harrased them calling names and saying things that could get them banned(breaking tos and using ways to call them the f slur)
Ngl my starter experience was HORRIBLE. I have been playing dandy's world for quite [almost have every toon] a while and talking abt why my experience as a starter was horrible? Here's why, Basically in my first match ever there was a vintage tisha who kept stealing stuff [mostly heal stuff] and blamed it all on me saying, she saw me pick up a band/med everyone started saying that they were going to sacrifice me for stealing and when I told them Tisha did it they would accuse me for lying I survived till floor 4 the Pebble in our match killed me for 'stealing'. Almost everyone in dandy's world fan base hates starters now like they were never one of them.
Some people are actually insane, just yesterday while I was planning a Brightney threatened the Poppy we had in the run to off themselves or they would do it themselves, which the rest of us were defending poppy, they wouldn’t leave them alone at all but they left after. It was disturbing, they said they hated starters and don’t even give them a chance to play.
I just got a new idea what if we make a run where we allow new players and teach them the basics of the game, etc and we call it the ''tutorial run''? we'll just be like a teacher/tutor to them. no goal floor or anything the only goal is to teach them the basics maybe some runs shortens like gte, etc (sorry for bad grammar stuff English is my 2nd language) Chat did I cook?

I haven't really had this experience yet, since some people were kind AND patient enough with me. Thanks to them I managed to get Toodles! Tho it's kinda sad that a lot of starters go through a lot of crap :(
It happened to me 4 times I have everything in dw and wanted to use poppy cuz I don’t play as her too much , then I wanted to join a run and a goob said “abc for normal run(no starters)”so I said abc and then he sai “ur poppy..” I was like “and?” , an Astro came and said “don’t judge poppys dude” and I became vee and then he left 💀
This happened a few months ago but one time I was in a dandy's world lobby playing as Shelly and we had this new player which I really didn't mind much about until they started asking for advice because they were new to the game and I offered to guide them through we made it to floor 21 with the new player and my protection with them explaining how machines work,how go get rid of twisteds,what function toons do,how trinkets help you,and how to stay safe while doing something after they left they had to go I never saw them again but I can assume they became a great dandy's world player :]
Even as someone who has just started playing Dandy’s world, I haven’t yet experienced any kind of bullying because of being a starter. In fact, one time when I was playing, some person even said “abc for a noob run”, and everyone who joined only had Boxten, Poppy, and other kinds of early cheap toons.

I have experienced this, so I had/ have toddles RN to get pebble, but I changed to Poppy, and I join a group run, but there’s was too much people fit in the elevator so I couldn’t go in and the players in that elevator said “ No Poppy!” then after that “Yay” I can’t believe players these days ( I don’t respect this, and I have never been like these people that don’t except beginners or beginner skins)
I don’t like how ppl get when there’s a new player but I’d like to say it’s pretty justified as to why ppl don’t want new players on main runs due to them probably gonna die early especially if it’s their first day. whenever i see someone ask how to play in chat i invite them to join my run (which is usually a normal run) and show them the ropes. it’s actually really fun to help people learn bc it reminds me of my first time playing and learning
I can relate a bit because I met a character I was toodles I was trying to get pebbles so I was as toodles to reach there mastery I met a player and said pro run only and when I said abc they just said no (I have vee and sprout) so yes it does happen
Poppy's passive ability is only meant for herself so she can survive on her own. Her passive ability is pretty useful if there's two or more twisteds chasing her, and one of them managed to land a hit. She can just run away from there and get to safety.
On my first run, I played with some pretty good players and they were all super nice and congratulated me when we got to floor ten. Yeah, I died there, but it left a big impact on me and now I actually play Dandy's world pretty often!

okay but there is absolutely no reason to be mean about it, yes I understand they can join a different run, but being a total dick isn't going to help anything
i just started playing yesterday and have already encountered being told off by other players in lobbies a lot of times. not to mention that they seem to blame you for everything that goes wrong in the run just because you're playing as a starter character--as a newbie who is still learning the mechanics of the game. it's quite disheartening really and even though i can look past that and still manage to make myself enjoy the game, there will be other players who will be discouraged by this behavior and will never try the game again.

I think that what Dandy’s world needs is like what they did with their other game Flavor Frenzy, where players can learn tutorials through playthroughs with instruction, and older/pro players can get extra currency (sugarcubes) by helping newer players beat levels/maps

I joined a server as poppy and then I changed to Tisha and the host said "Oh i allow new players and starters :D" so that was really nice of them. I also played a normal run with a new player and everyone was telling them and teaching them stuff, and they reached floor 14 💕

It’s tough bc if we keep mistreating people who use starters, we’re killing our own player base. I always try to treat people who seem confused or make mistakes with as much kindness (and providing explanations) as much as possible, because one bad run of mean people CAN and WILL ruin it for them, and they will NEVER play Dandy’s World ever again. If you LOVE Dandy’s World and want it to keep updating and getting better, it needs a playerbase. Bullying people in it will just kill the game altogether because no one will play anymore. Qwel won’t be able to earn enough revenue for it, or the playerbase will dwindle and if the devs lose interest due to a dead game, it just stops updating altogether. Kindess is the answer to so many of our desires but it’s easy to be angry in the moment.

NGL, I didn't know there was a difference between the capsules and his capsule for a long time. So I would always get myself hurt, and one time even hurt another player(and simultaneously got myself killed). I felt so bad. They weren't really rude about it, just reasonably a bit upset(I obviously wasn't a starter based on my toon, I was just oblivious at the time).
That happened to me, same with rnd.
Ppl hated me for a tisha...i was the last one to survive AND i literally got ALL of the machines on one floor
i remember when i first wanted to play dandy’s world, i asked my friends for a tutorial since i knew nothing about the game. most of them just said “ you can play solo “ but my problem was that i didn’t know how the game worked or what i supposed to do. until one of my friends came along that was patient enough to give me a step by step tutorial on how the game worked, she was a great help and now i have astro in dandy’s world !! i wanted to thank her but now she’s gone off the internet and wanted to fulfill her dreams. i hope your doing okay out there quill.

I originally made the the video due to me running into multiple instances of starters just simply being 'mistreated' due to the sole reason that well...they're just starting out.
I truly do believe that once this issues gets highlighted eventually, future newcomers of the game could have a more enhanced experience and less toxicity (especially once the full in-depth tutorial comes out) which should also equate to better public team performance and less unnecessary gatekeeping!
I'm so glad this situation is starting to come to light a bit more and hopefully it helps the community for the better.

Oh boy do I have first hand experience with this here we go:
1. I was in a run once with 2 boxtens (one normal skin another vintage). Don't remember the exact details but I think a cosmo or a brightney kept blaming the boxtens for things that were happening and "sabotaging the run" to the point they got one killed. Think they also said something mean about starters. There was a Vee defending the boxtens cuz the vintage one was actually helping alot with the machines and doing great. Anyhow, their arguments got them both killed (typing) leaving me and the vintage boxten to make it till floor 12 or smth. Ended up friending this boxten and joined a run with them...*they had a pebble this whole time and were a great distractor*
2. I went to a public server and saw this astro and some other toon doing a "pro" run. I went up to see if I could join and the second I did astro straight up said "no Finn not you go." I was really confused and even their friend was ( they said "Finn could be a pro?"). I've made it to floor 22 multiple times and have a Shelly 💀
3. We did a dandy run and this ABSOLUTE MAD LAD JUKED AND ALMOST SURVIVED DANDY PEBBLE AND FINN AS A BOXTEN IT WAS AMAZING TO WATCH IDK HOW THEY DID IT!! HE WAS THE LAST SURVIVOR

I have started runs specifically for newbies or people that just got a new toon and are therefore not used to their play style. As annoying as newbies can be sometimes (such as them buying on dandy runs or picking up bandages at three hearts with distractor at one) they all deserve a chance. I remember when I first started playing Dandy’s World. I ended up hiding in a corner the whole time while my friend did the work. I didn’t make it past floor one as i was terrified. I remember when even just getting to floor 4 was a huge achievement for me. I remember helping my bestie when she started. I remember my joy when I got my first toon other than poppy. Now I’m a full blown dandy’s world player. I love the fandom, I’ve made OCs, I have mastery on said first toon (toodles) I main as goob and dearly love distracting. I’m heading for pebble, I’ve got 100% research on like all of the common Twisteds and the only one left i have yet to encounter is Astro. I call Dandy Dandicus Dancifer and yell at him when his shop pops up. I don’t ship any characters, but only bc i just don’t rlly like dandy’s world ships. I get excited when we get a main, get extremely upset when we have run after run after run and get 13+ floors with not a single main (yes it has happened and continues to happen) I love introducing the game to my friends. I’ve made Dandy’s world videos on my channel, i have a private playlist of all my favorite dandy’s world UA-cam videos. And why? This happened because my friend was kind enough to show me the game, and i was brave enough to enter the elevator as a newbie.

I’m sorry, i don’t feel comfortable sharing my username. It’s fairly easy to do, though. I started when i first got goob. I just kind of gather a group of newbies and help them through the run. I also call them beginner runs :3

Ah! I didn't really get the new player experience. I started as a Boxten, and an amazing team allowed me to come with them! We ended up getting to floor 22 on my first ever run. They taught me how to play, and to this day 22 is still my record. :3
I never had this problem when I was a starter, my first run an Astro carried me all the way to 13 all while explaining things I didn’t understand. My first main was Astro, thank you random Astro, I’m glad you made it to floor 21 after I died :)

so theres a couple different types of poppies/boxten.
1. we will call this one 10cotton. see, 10cotton likes to pick up bandages and not let anybody else use machines. 10cotton also asks cosmo to heal her when shes at 2 hearts. 10cotton never talked before that. 10cotton has no trinkets and thinks poppy is the best toon because its free. 10cotton is the bad starter.
2. we will call this one DarkKnight. DarkKnight has dog plush and speedy shoes. DarkKnight asks if anyone needs bandage / med before she picks them up. DarkKnight lets people who have wrench do the machine. DarkKnight is saving up for tisha (rlly good toon to save up for btw). DarkKnight has done 4 mastery quests. DarkKnight is super cool. DarkKnight is the person you want.
3. we will call this one Slay24_7. Slay24_7 is just trying to do mastery quests before she goes back to being Vee, Shelly or Pebble.

Lol i wanted to join a long run as a boxten (i had veemote and magnifying glass on) and this gigi yelled at me saying "NO BOXTEN" and the vee that wanted to join defended me "BOXTEN HAS VEEMOTE" "I HATE YOU" and i turned into astro and walked away, then the vee apologized man i love these types of players (for more context on why i was boxten, i mainly use boxten because of his passive :P)

Today I was using scraps because it got buffed, and I accidentally walk into a main only run. They scream at me to leave and I change to vintage Shelly to join. They all died on floor 5. Being a main does not mean you are good lol

The cooldown was changed from 30 to 25, the range of the ability was increased and the time it took to actually get to their target decreased by like 0.2 seconds. It was a nice buff but didnt do much to make scraps better. When I first heard of the buff I would think they meant the stats of the toon.

i think saying no to a starter toon joining is ok if you do it politely, sometimes when people want to go to higher floors they don’t really want to babysit a new player and that’s ok, as long as you are still polite and treat them with respect when you say no

This argument reminds me of one time I was in a run with a Boxten who was asking everyone for help and everyone ignored them, and its no ones responsibility to help but I decided to tell them everything I knew and showed examples within the gameplay, 1 month later we're still playing together and they've gone so far, they became a great player.

When I'm playing with my friends one of them is a starter i set kinda rules to tell them how not to die like
1: don't run in the middle of any distracter and try to be a hero
2: if a machine has a little completion leave it alone for the person to come back to
3:when the eye appears next to the stamina bar run and try to hide behind a corner
4: don't run in rnds circle
5: don't waste stamina

I don’t mind starters as long as they try. Once I was in a server with two poppies. One of the poppies actually helped while the other just camped by the elevator the entire time and didn’t even do one machine. I was doing one and there was another one right by me and I kid you not that poppy just walked past it. That poppy bought G U M B A L L S on a D A N D Y R U N. Everyone got mad at them so we just sacrificed it to a boxten.

as someone who was a victim of this type of bully despite having similar game experience. Aka Dead by Daylight, I actually cried because of the toxic side and I almost quit, But thanks too 2 different players, I was able to enjoy playing Dandy's world. But I now get bullied in a different way. I have had people try to do 'social experiments' on me as if I'm one of the bad guys cause I have a main now. When I was simply not doing a run at the time, as I was waiting for friends.
I was playing as Tisha once (I was a starter) and somebody said “xyz for pro run, tell me your highest floor” and I said 16, that was a lie I just wanted to be in a good server so I could progress quickly, and when we got in, FLOOR 4 AND I WAS THE ONLY ONE STANDING! I wasn’t just hiding either, I completed almost every one of the machines while they stayed close to elevator and got killed

Im a "starter" but i know everything to do in a round and a dandy run . I use boxten tho, but i don't want poppy or shrimpo. So im aiming for finn. I dont play dandys world alot, so i dont grind. But i HATE when someone saus im not allowed in their dandys run because they think im a starter. Idk if bpxtens are supposed to be able to do a dandys run.
Boxtens are able to do dandy runs, any character can do one! Its just ppl automatically think if you’re boxten or poppy, you’re a new player.
Boxten is a great character held by the playerbase, it has the same extraction that Vee has when in a full lobby while having better overall stats (stealth and speed) of course he has his limitations and is not the best but honestly is in the top 5 extractors idk if above or below Glisten.
Overall for a dandy run, I would aim for teagen she's a great toon just you need to avoid twisteds.
Please be a Finn starter too, Finn doesn't get much love, he's pretty decent, his stamina is a bit shit but you can work around it, I actually use Finn to distract sometimes with speed trinkets and sodas 😭

Thankfully, I had a pretty good experience as a Poppy, and I still think Poppy and Boxten are good toons. Also, NEVER underestimate a Shrimpo! I love Shrimpos so much ever since there was a hacker Shrimpo, and he was distracting the twisteds by flying. All hail Shrimpo and Starters!

No starters" runs I joined it was always the pebbles, goobs, shellys and sprouts who died first, I just laughed at them and I remember that one starter hater Sprout who literally died on floor 1 to RAZZLE AND DAZZLE cause bro went to do a machine, ran in the circle and didn't even run away LOL, he just raged, I laughed at him and he started literally insulting me in russian it was so funny and silly XD and I often play with starters to help them, yeah they are often scared to go somewhere but It takes one "cmon you're brave, you can do it" and they do extremelly well, you just tell them how to avoid the twisteds and you have lots of fun with em, especially cause they still have lots to experience and it's so exciting to get a main cause you know that they see something new and get some research. I got to decently high floors, like 15-20 with random starters that I helped, it was super fun ^^ if they try to get in the distractors way then it also just takes a little explaination and they will understand.

once i actually tested this out and when i said abc to a dandy run i said i wasn't a starter but one on them said "proof?" then i showed them my toons and let me in. so i do agree with you, that needs to stop.

I was playing flutter, for some reason this sprout and two cosmos decided not to help anyone else but each other, they then started trying to get me killed bc ‘flutter is bad’ and ‘I’m a noob’ bc I had no mains- honestly it was so annoying, apparently I was not allowed to enjoy the game and instead had to complete it all within the 2 months I had been playing.

When I first joined dandys world, not knowing why people were like: “abc for ___ run!” I went in one and a random person joined me, they were nice and I told them how I was new and they helped me out! So the next few days I began learning the LoS mechanic, how to save stamina- etc. but I still haven’t bought any other toons than Poppy as she was my starter. Yesterday, (I’m still a bit new to dandy’s world) I joined a server and there wasn’t anyone hosting runs except 2: “ABC for long run! Only join if you’ve made it over floor 20!” And “ABC for (I don’t remember) run! NO STARTERS!” So, i server hopped and came across a okay server. But please, be nice to starters
Once when I was boxten saving up for Toodles, I joined a "TiShA aRmY" run. I never bought from Dandy and got blamed by one person when I was LITERALLY NO WHERE NEAR HIS SHOP. 2 others tried to defend me, I accidentally let out my anger, saying why are 'beginners' so mistreated, said that I barely play and don't have a bunch of ichor because I have trauma from toxic fans harassing me in other games on roblox.
I got even more harassed. That one player made me hate Tisha, as the one Vee from another game made me hate Vee.

TLDR: First play I got some chill people who taught me. Now I help starters
The first time I ever played was as Poppy. My first run, no one left, they all stayed. I managed to learn the game as a few people taught me (I had read the info page though.). Now, a month later I have every character in the game. Even if I was bombarded with toxicity, I refused to give up. I read and watched guides.
Now, whenever I see a curious starter, I make sure to stay with them and guide them on the right path :)
I just started today and,in the elevator there is dandy’s shop,he was pretty mad because nobody would buy anything,then everyone was saying “don’t buy anything”etc but someone bought something and everyone blamed it on me😭😭😭
It hurts me when doing dandy world i see poppy and boxton standing on the sides watching players get their team together saying "abc for main hunt, abc for long run,abc for pro run" and thats just messed up i understand that players want to grind but its just sad when they say no starter's or new players to me it doesn't matter what toon you are your suppose to have fun but toxic players get on my nerves thats why i always say "abc for normal run all toons allowed" they just need to teach them how to play
I started Dandy's World within the last month and I was just lucky to be able to join people who didn't make a fuss. The only complaint I got was some random trying to purposely kill me off until they realized I was good as skill checks and went "oh, my bad. I didn't realize" they just assume all poppys and boxtens suck. I didn't realize how bad it was until I got a new character and saw how people kept excluding starters and being mean to them then there would be others trying to explain that just because someone is new doesn't mean they're bad. I'm a player who likes to 'complete' things but the behavior towards starters has made me hesitant in trying to master boxten.
One time I was playing as a Boxten (I bought him for some reason) with an Astro, Pebble, Sprout, and a Poppy. They all were partnering up and the Astro Taught me how to play, we got to floor 24 (I was the second last to die and Astro was the last), he was willing to waste his time and tell me the games rules, like how Razzle & Dazzle worked, all the mains, while Pebble would distract so I could learn. I messed up a machine (due to being on phone) and I lived, thanks to the pebble (he died to twisted Pebble in Astros room)
The Astro said I should save for Rodger.
Players in a year: “Why is dandy’s world dying and not getting new players?”
Meanwhile players:
I only hate players when they get in a elevator after we clearly said “Friends only” wich hey it can be mean but me and my dw friend group are mostly tecnic players (or pro) and we dont want any other people than us, whether its a poppy who just joined in or a vintage vee
Really funny how when you play the game, no people want to join you because you're a new player. I remembered there was a group of pro players that carried me all the way to floor 20, me playing as boxten and goob distracting. They were so incredibly nice and I appreciate them not saying toxic stuff even when I'm completely useless. After that, I did two floors alone without anyone. 2 solo runs and I could only survive 2 floors. Its really disappointing seeing new players getting dumped in the trash by pro players. If you read this, thanks for reading this long story of mine I really appreciate it.

I joined a game and we had a starter (Poppy she told us it was her second time playing and she knew nothing) and the group I was with LOVED explaining and showing her the ropes due to how toxic and hard our starting was, we all talked about it and we got pretty far for a normal run dieing to pebble on floor 15 or 16 (i don't remember-) and im happy we got to give her a chance and positive experience!
I once started up a "starter run" / tutorial run, where i helped out a bunch of starters and they got to floor 14 and HIGHER whereas I died floor 12 to Shelly! They did great and went above and beyond, and the only people who died out of all 8 players were the non-starters who were helping out the starters get to higher levels. Props to all the people in that run.

(The host was a scraps) and didn't even mention 'no starters' then said something along the lines of: "no poppy!!!" (In all caps btw or smth like that…) then i turned into astro and then she had the audacity to think i would join her run like errr no?? 😭🙏 she even said "JOIN ME" after i denied for the 2nd time

The fact that when i First started Dandys world, i didnt immediatly get hated on by a Lobby because one of my Friends that Played dandys world longer than i did teached me how to Play it-
Alot of times people say "pro only run" because they dont want someone dying floor 1, leading the twisteds to them, or going to the distractor and ruining the distracting. The person was only saying "show me your toons" because they didn't want a complete starter, and poppy is probably like the worst toon in the game (my opinion), they werent being toxic at all-
This is my point. Personally I understand that starters are DEFINITELY hated on in this game☠️ however I feel like the people that pretend to be starters make things 10x worse. Pretending to be a boxten starter with no trinkets and then get mad when someone doesn’t want u in their pro run and then proceed to shame them is (excuse my language) fucking stupid😐. This goes for those one character runs aswell, I saw two fake starters bullying a Tisha calling her “mean” bc she didn’t want to have them in her TISHA ONLY run. Overall people who pretend to be starters need to realize they don’t do any good they make things worse even if their the best player ever forcing yourself in a group where your clearly unwanted is just annoying. (Note: I don’t rlly apply to this to real starters btw that’s a different story they just learning the game obviously👍)

It was just me who was treated different when i was a beginner?Maybe because we had other beginners but if i remember i was a Boxten, the first run that i was playing was with another Boxten and a Tisha(Boxten died on floor 1 and Tisha floor 2) and i was scared because i was alone so i left. 2 time homewever was with 2 other Boxten and a Poppy(all of them died on floor 1) and i died on floor 2 because of Flutter, later in a update we had ichors i was sad because i wanted Goob but i couldn't untill i found i can buy another good toon Tisha!

Don't worry, Tisha is the best inversion you've ever done, she literally just does everything, after you get speedy shoes(Dandy store) and dog plush(Toodles research) you walk faster than most twisteds so you can distract easily, an alternative to dog plush is Pink bow(Poppy's research) I learned to distract with bow first the only thing is that you need to sprint burst, but I can tell I learned to distract better than most players, they even get surprised when I'm managing Dandy, Scraps and Goob all at the same time, but is not that hard.
If you prefer to be an extractor you probably still want speedy shoes at the start and wrench, then change for Participation(Shelly research) and one free slot(I mean you run whatever you like)
And for support Tisha, I recommend Pink bow + Diary(Flutter research) this allows you to run into a Peebles without taking aggro(of course mind the LoS) and use your ability. If you're pairing with a Goob, replace Diary for either the necklace from Cosmo, Speedy shoes or an extractor trinket cause you still have some downtime on the active.
Also general tips:
While distracting is better to pick a spot on the map, there's always a safer spot to kite, if there are machines you can change it a little bit or wait until is the only machine needed, you never want to distract around the entire map, because you'll end up killing a lot of people.
The lower your stamina the better is Pop soda, but the chocolates are amazing, a box of chocolates is 10 times better than a BOTTLE of Pop if you have 125 stam or below(Tisha, Shrimp and gG) Knowing your items will make you really good at the game no matter what.
Priming machines is a really important technique that will increase your survivability at least by a 30% To prime a machine you wanna do it as much as possible without finishing it, that way you can call in the chat "GTE" so people can go to the exit before panic mode enters in the equation(especially important if Glisten or Peebs is in the floor).
Speaking of which... Calls, make calls the more your team knows the more they will be alert for the current floor and the more they'll trust you, if you know to make calls they will know you at least know how to play, so they'll take less risks.(Even tho you can't do much while distracting)
Learn about the stealth of toons, i always see Goobs and Peebles avoiding Astros, Toodles or Cosmos (or vice versa) When there's no worries, they can be literally on top of the twisteds and won't be attacked since they have lots of stealth.
And finally(cause I don't know much more that I could say) at the start of the floor and/or if you have no distractors, always make sure to look before turning a corner, that's the best way to avoid twisteds and not annoy your distractors, Brightney can never steal your twisteds but that will only happen if both are aware of each other.

I was playing earlier and there was a boxy who tried to harass pro players but the pro players Harrased them calling names and saying things that could get them banned(breaking tos and using ways to call them the f slur)
Ngl my starter experience was HORRIBLE. I have been playing dandy's world for quite [almost have every toon] a while and talking abt why my experience as a starter was horrible? Here's why, Basically in my first match ever there was a vintage tisha who kept stealing stuff [mostly heal stuff] and blamed it all on me saying, she saw me pick up a band/med everyone started saying that they were going to sacrifice me for stealing and when I told them Tisha did it they would accuse me for lying I survived till floor 4 the Pebble in our match killed me for 'stealing'. Almost everyone in dandy's world fan base hates starters now like they were never one of them.

Some people are actually insane, just yesterday while I was planning a Brightney threatened the Poppy we had in the run to off themselves or they would do it themselves, which the rest of us were defending poppy, they wouldn’t leave them alone at all but they left after. It was disturbing, they said they hated starters and don’t even give them a chance to play.
I just got a new idea what if we make a run where we allow new players and teach them the basics of the game, etc and we call it the ''tutorial run''? we'll just be like a teacher/tutor to them. no goal floor or anything the only goal is to teach them the basics maybe some runs shortens like gte, etc (sorry for bad grammar stuff English is my 2nd language)

This is why every run i host i put "starters allowed" at the end just so they can learn with help

I have everything in dw and wanted to use poppy cuz I don’t play as her too much , then I wanted to join a run and a goob said “abc for normal run(no starters)”so I said abc and then he sai “ur poppy..” I was like “and?” , an Astro came and said “don’t judge poppys dude” and I became vee and then he left 💀

This happened a few months ago but one time I was in a dandy's world lobby playing as Shelly and we had this new player which I really didn't mind much about until they started asking for advice because they were new to the game and I offered to guide them through we made it to floor 21 with the new player and my protection with them explaining how machines work,how go get rid of twisteds,what function toons do,how trinkets help you,and how to stay safe while doing something after they left they had to go I never saw them again but I can assume they became a great dandy's world player :]

Even as someone who has just started playing Dandy’s world, I haven’t yet experienced any kind of bullying because of being a starter. In fact, one time when I was playing, some person even said “abc for a noob run”, and everyone who joined only had Boxten, Poppy, and other kinds of early cheap toons.
People wondering why starters are hated meanwhile there are people trolling as starters being toxic asf💀🙏🏻

I agree! ppl who hate starters/newbies usually had bad experiences with them which i can get, however they dont remember they’re (the new players) new to the game. Which makes the situation worse, so we should be a lot nicer to starter players cuz we were all starters once!

I have experienced this, so I had/ have toddles RN to get pebble, but I changed to Poppy, and I join a group run, but there’s was too much people fit in the elevator so I couldn’t go in and the players in that elevator said “ No Poppy!” then after that “Yay” I can’t believe players these days ( I don’t respect this, and I have never been like these people that don’t except beginners or beginner skins)

I don’t like how ppl get when there’s a new player but I’d like to say it’s pretty justified as to why ppl don’t want new players on main runs due to them probably gonna die early especially if it’s their first day. I remember one time I was doing a Astro run and I said: (perferred no starters) and the whole server got mad at me. I just server hopped, also I’d also like to say some starters do sneak into pro runs so I can kinda understand why the Goob asked to show toons. But yes there is a problem.

whenever i see someone ask how to play in chat i invite them to join my run (which is usually a normal run) and show them the ropes. it’s actually really fun to help people learn bc it reminds me of my first time playing and learning

I can relate a bit because I met a character I was toodles I was trying to get pebbles so I was as toodles to reach there mastery I met a player and said pro run only and when I said abc they just said no (I have vee and sprout) so yes it does happen
Hate for poppy make sense because she can't do anything useful, she can just run faster when get hit. But boxten!? He can help people a lot

@@IntiNiko All toons (except) shrimpo has its own use in a team. Don't hate on any of the toons that player play as. (Unless shrimpo)
Poppy's passive ability is only meant for herself so she can survive on her own. Her passive ability is pretty useful if there's two or more twisteds chasing her, and one of them managed to land a hit. She can just run away from there and get to safety.

On my first run, I played with some pretty good players and they were all super nice and congratulated me when we got to floor ten. Yeah, I died there, but it left a big impact on me and now I actually play Dandy's world pretty often!

okay but there is absolutely no reason to be mean about it, yes I understand they can join a different run, but being a total dick isn't going to help anything
i just started playing yesterday and have already encountered being told off by other players in lobbies a lot of times. not to mention that they seem to blame you for everything that goes wrong in the run just because you're playing as a starter character--as a newbie who is still learning the mechanics of the game. it's quite disheartening really and even though i can look past that and still manage to make myself enjoy the game, there will be other players who will be discouraged by this behavior and will never try the game again.

I think that what Dandy’s world needs is like what they did with their other game Flavor Frenzy, where players can learn tutorials through playthroughs with instruction, and older/pro players can get extra currency (sugarcubes) by helping newer players beat levels/maps
Awww that's a shame people are like that, I haven't met any people like that. I joined a server as poppy and then I changed to Tisha and the host said "Oh i allow new players and starters :D" so that was really nice of them. I also played a normal run with a new player and everyone was telling them and teaching them stuff, and they reached floor 14 💕
