*Who was around when this flick originally released...👀*
My brother and I were just discussing seeing this movie the day of release, I was 10 n he was 11, it was a great time for horror movies in 70s-80s,, especially B movies, like friday the 13th, i saw that one in 3d also, same with jaws 1,2 and 3 but the only other movie i can remember really scaring me besides the exorcist was Phantasm, I saw that one in the Eric theater at the echelon mall in echelon N.J., it was the little druid dwarf demon things that the Tall man would make out of human corpses and in particular scene where the tall man get his fingers cut off and his finger morphs into these flying buzz saws and the yellow blood AND the Flying silver ball that drills awhile though your head, that movie still is bizzaar and you feel almost defiled after watching it, dark dark theme, bad ass car though, you'll never knew the incredible build and quality of a top end car, you've got to go custom for it now, everyhinh is plastic otherwise, but i digest, great movie.
I missed it by a year 81 baby me.
Me.
I graduated HS in '81 😁👍
The seventies and eighties were the greatest decades to grow up in.
I remember when this came out, the theater was located on S. Main St and Holcomb in Houston's Medical Center area! 🥺
One of the truly best horror films of the 1980s and I saw this at the theater on the big screen... A forerunner to "Predator" without a diverse cast. Thanks for uploading this here! Peace
Forerunner, I'd say Predator was a rip-off of this movie. And most of the cast in this movie was either well past their career peak, or just starting out. Jack Palance, and Martin Landau were both big stars in their heyday. And the the scoutmaster was a famous comedian in his. And the guy sitting at the corner of the bar was famous for all of the westerns he played in. Both TV westerns, and big screen westerns. I can just about guarantee that the studio who made Predator paid off the producers of this not to sue them.
@@thebigdog2295 No, this was NOT the inspiration for Predator. Jim and John Thomas were inspired to write Predator after watching Rocky IV and hearing a joke that was spreading around Hollywood afterwards that Rocky Balboa would probably have to fight an alien in the next movie since he was running out of Earthly human opponents.

So war es 😊!
Boring and filmed on a potato
I saw this in the movie theater when it first came out. I was a pre teen.
Good old memories! 😊
this movie was discussed in the 80s horror Doc. In Search of Darkness Part 3, you have Martin Landau(Ed Wood), Jack Palance(City Slickers), cameo appearances of Cameron Mitchell, Larry Storch, and Neville Brand, also Tom is played by David Caruso(CSI: Miami), also the tall Grey-Alien Hunter is played by Kevin Peter Hall(The Prophecy, Harry and the Hendersons, Predator 1 & 2), this movie's cinematography is done by Dean Cundey(Halloween, Halloween II, Halloween III: Season of the Witch, The Fog, The Thing, Psycho II, Back to the Future Trilogy, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Hook, and Jurassic Park), the movie's alien head was made by 7-time oscar winner Rick Baker(An American Werewolf in London, The Howling, Videodrome, Ghost Story, Harry and the Hendersons, Michael Jackson's Thriller, Ed Wood, The Nutty Professor, Men In Black Trilogy, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Planet of the Apes remake(2001), The Ring, The Wolfman remake(2010)), while the flying creature frisbees were designed by Greg Cannom( Hook, Mrs. Doubtfire, The Mask, Bram Stocker's Dracula, Titanic, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Vice, and The Lost Boys)
Thank you 😊
Thank you for that 😊👍
Ty, I thought that was Caruso.
Thanx

Sweet memories. We rented this and Prophecy on Betamax one weekend evening when I lived in a group home for cool kids(bad) in 1982. Killer B's..."

Nope, this movie definitely needed a warning!
Seriously, Jack Palance? Martin Landau????? I take it the Oscars committee thought long and hard about giving him an award after this performance....sheesh......loved it!!!
Now that I think about it, didn't Martin Landau spend the whole movie warning people about aliens?????
Fantastic actors in a classic film from 1980s😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Seen this twice. Jack Palance always fearsome. Great movie with strong cast.
As a teenager I built a 7 foot tall replica of the alien for Halloween. It was complete, from his bulbous head & I duplicated his outfit. Just after sundown I put it, standing up, on the roof of our house. Not long after police showed up to investigate "who" was standing on our house! Lol
Apparently the street lights cast just enough light on it to really set it off & give it a truly unearthly appearance.
Even though my mother has given me permission to do it, it still creeped her out.
Before the police left, their dispatcher said they were continuing to get more calls about it. LMAO!
Jack Palance.....heck ya!!!!
Cameron Mitchell from the high chaparral 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Good flick. I like seeing all the famous faces.
I saw this movie way back in the 80s at the theatre I was a young kid and now I'm older and I still love this movie
Jeez! The guy told you not to go to the lake!! If you can't believe Jack Palance, who can you believe?
❤
Or not.
1980 WOW i was 13 year's old
I was born in 61 and with Bob Wilkens creature features i thiught i had seen them all.
Or maybe Im loosing my memory.
At any point this was a Good old movie
Omg, the guy from Kildozer is at the bar..... ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"Let's get outta here!"
Well, at least Sandy saved the day!
Martin Landau from space 1999😂😂😂😂😂😂
And Mission Impossible. 😁
Phantasm meets Alien.
Beautiful gorgeous girls from our day 1980s
Worth watching.
Never heard of this film before 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
one of the best movies. thank you for showing it.
Great Movie, Thank you for uploading it!! I soooooo appreciate it!
The real reason to watch this, Larry Storch!
Hard to believe as old as he was here to live another 40 years and die at age 99!
the american lawrence olivier, lol
Idk about Larry Storch, but
I did notice corporal Agarn . . .
I’m sorry but while he was in the bar trying to tell the locals about the flying creatures. Why did the girl in the van run into the woods when she was about 10 steps from the bar door? Should have just ran into the bar. Also, why am I trying to rationalize anything in a horror movie? 😂😂😂😂
And why didn’t he just take his jacket off when those things stuck to him.
@@ruprect8858 good think the flying pizza didn't hit him in the balls!
Because she's a girl what did you expect, 😁
I think I remember watching this on HBO.

Nice movie ...
I saw it before.. when I was a boy . VHC TAPE . WITH VIDEO RECORDER.
Thank you 😊 💓
Loved this film as a kid then it went to the beach ❤
I know Jack Palance was a great actor years before this movie, but hearing his voice reminds me of Ripley's Believe it or Not which also came out in 1980.
Martin Landau ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Love it!
Fantastic movie
A good cast of characters for a good film 🎥😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I remember being a cub scout 75-78
With all those good actors could of been even better. But very watchable. Good idea to not show the alien till towards the end. I can,t believe I had never even heard of this movie.😊
Really??
This movie 🎥 is one of the best love it 🇺🇲⛺🚬☕🪕
That was so fun!
I love Jack Palance. Hes always a badass. Lol
called in the 80s in Germany: "Flying Devils"
Jack palance from hawk the slayer 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Because they never knew nothing about nothing!
Now I know where part of the inspiration for The Pest came from, once the horror started that ended but that first part, lol I was waiting for them to follow some tracks and find someone and try to delete them, lol we huntin the most dangerous game🤘😁🤘
I had a 67 Ford van

Que buen clasico,, Recuerdo ya averla visto pero por aya enel 93,,! The original Predator 😉

I saw this in the theater when I was 5 or 6 yrs old. I loved it at the time. Has a bunch of famous actors but its effects are definitely those of the time. The babes were hot then and still look good. Love the old horror pics with the hot babes, the screams, the gore, slashing, its awesome

I remember this. People throwing discs at each other. Pretty dumb
thumbs up if "Good Bad Flicks" sent you here?
In reading the synopsis I got to the word "alien" and knew it was a dud that happens to have a few big names in it. It happens.

Tarah Nutter? :0/
Jack is creepy/sexy? Weird.
The idea that those young people could find that shack in the middle of nowhere in the dark is the most unrealistic thing about this movie.
Not if was along a pipeline or underground cable network etc. and placed there as a utility and storage shed.
luckily for me I love unrealistic things.
