Nah jjk had its females face the same challenges as males in the series, and handled it as expected if you actually read. In fact, they brought more people to the series and made many emotional, which was the intention. "Bad" writing is said by those who don't like outcome of the female, which is clear bias versus seeing the value they added to the story as a whole (what they were supporting cast for).
Imagine if she had ingested a refined version of the quirk amplifying bullet?
Imagine she was able to impose 4 rules afterward.
As a fanfic writer, I get it. I actually had deleted about 30 chapters of one of my books and started to rewrite it from the point from before. Because while I had fun with writing scenes of my powerful reader character, and such. It had gotten too much. I had made them too powerful too early on. It could’ve fit in later during the war arc. But I didn’t have a chance to slowly grow the strength of the character as the story went on, like with the class 1A.
But now with rewriting things. I’ve made some things that would allow for new ideas to be introduced and such.
I mean, imagine if Izuku was as strong as he was during the dark Deku arc, during the beginning. The story wouldn’t even get beyond the USJ.

To me New Order should have been the peak of the MHA world, its an OP ability but still has weaknesses and doesn't leave everyone else in the dust.
OFA on the other hand is just too OP, it outshines everyone else and makes them useless,
You have OFA that makes you super fast, super strong, fly, have danger sense, spider webs... and then the other guy in your class can shoot tape from his elbows...
New order should have been the pinnacle of power so that the rest of class 1A stayed relevant.
Shigaraki digging himself under the ocean to hide from multiple nuclear strikes was such an asspull. He would have collapsed himself under the enormous sub nautical pressure i.e. what happened to the Titanic submarine.

I agree with you, Deku was going Toe to Toe with Todoroki, Todoroki being trained his whole life and was Bred to be the perfect child (which was fucked up) , and here you have Deku who had no powers, trained 6 month and end up being his equal, on his noob state.
Then comes OFA with All its added powers which made the show unwatchable. (To me)
I mean you have us this whole Class 1-A full with interesting powers , then you ignore them and keep boosting Deku up.

6:30 All For One, to my knowledge, has only said this if three characters ever. The first was All Might, the second was Koichi Haimawara (Who was described by AFO as “One to avoid”), and the third was Star.
Truly amazing to be in a group with only super powerful people like All Might and The Skycrawler in it.

@@tyroneford-ru7iwthe "fans" or in the case of MHA actual fanatics certainly haven't helped. They go after the author as much as regular detractors and I can imagine the stress that caused. The writer probably wants to move on to a new project as quickly as possible and doesn't give the series the love and attention it once had. A strange case where the "toxic fans" came first and not that the quality went down ( marvel and star wars and especially Dr. Who come to mind) and then there was a fan backlash that was called "toxic".
Too bad because the series had potential at the start, back when Deku didn't have a quirk and I thought he was going to prove he could be a hero anyway. A Batman type so to speak. Oh well

I suppose that happens more often than it should and could be a reason why many mangakas don't want to cater to a Western audience.

It’s really too bad that all Americans heroes are treated badly in the series. Native was weaker than 1st year high schoolers and was eliminated in the first war off screen. Captain Celebrity is doing ok but he’s from a spinoff series and he represents the negative brashness side of Americana. Pony doesn’t even show up in the war, we don’t even know if she got the Hero license at all. David Shields turned villain.
So, naturally, I used to be in the camp that disapproved the outcome of Shigaraki vs Star & Stripe, but I’m over it. In the end, the story was set up so that she was always going to lose. She was there to stop the story thread of other allied nations coming in to help Japan, and that idea started from the World Heroes Mission movie. Horikoshi himself may not even have had a hand in writing heroes from other countries in the first place, since the movies generally are only approved by him and not really written by him.
It’s a Japanese story and they are going to be the focus of it in the end.

Captain Celebrity is S&S done correctly. A top rank foreign hero. Powerful but not story breaking level. Has a character arc. Introduced early in the series and sticks around for the story.

Gushing over Star and Stripe is honestly just weird. She's literally only an overpowered plot device to nerf the main villain because Horikoshi wrote himself into a corner. That's all. She was around for what, 5 chapters? Less? She was written to be cool, just as equally as she was written to be a tool

Horikoshi female writing is not that good which I realize back in the Overhaul arc, so I wasn't surprised that she died too early. Ongoing shonen series: One Piece, Black Clover, and Spy x Family got the best written female characters. Worst has to be either MHA or JJK or both lol.

Maybe I’m just an odd ball. But I didn’t get her hype. Maybe it’s because she was some random character that showed up out of nowhere without any previous mention near the end of the series. In my opinion her character felt like kaguya from Naruto. She was just shoved into the story at the last minute and it just felt way off from the rest of the series. Plus I thought it was weird that they just cherry picked characters and details from the MHA movies and made some of it canon. While saying that some wasn’t canon. Like how in the movies captain celebrity was Americas number one hero. But in the manga it said that she was the number one instead. Even though the author said that the movies were canon.
Are you trolling? Captain celebrity isn't in any of the movies and im guessing he's a vigilantes hero because I've never heard of him before in the main series.

The final war arc was a huge let down in my opinion, i think horokoshi rushed the second half of the overall story too fast and didnt give the villians and hero enough time to be fleshed out enough. Their big war moments felt weak and unwarranted. The foreign heroes were teased but never explored at all(besides star sumwhat but not much). So many missed story opertonunty's. The author played it way too safe instead of shooting a giant load at the end like they should have. Also, deku's father? I thought the author said we were gonna see him, but nah, nothing😂. Don't get me started on the side manga vigilantes that never tied into the main story besides a small cameo after the final war, in my opinion my hero vigilantes is a better read than the main manga and it's shorter if ur not interested in a long manga
