Hi nice to meet you man! I have Polaris sportsman 570 2021 . He has 170 hours on the engine. I use it on trails and a lot of use the last 50 hours in water in rivers and in huge mud and water! Not so much slot plus water. The original strap has now broken in 170 hours. I put on 29s tires 15 hours ago.. maybe 12 hours of walking with the new huge tires. I think the strap has broken because it is already 170 hours old and it is the original. Lately a lot of water has entered the clutch and I had to remove the plug or sometimes put in the water it is limited it does not move the tires and I accelerate it and that white smoke comes out. What do you recommend I put the original strap or I’m going for one like yours should be more expensive but it’s stronger? What do you recommend to me? I don’t know if I put a clutch kit yet, maybe I’ll do it later. Now I need to change my broken strap, I don’t know if I should go for the original one or what does it look better than you say? Please, thank you
Either stock or a gboost would work, I’d recommend some clutching to more easily pull the tires as well and getting your belt box sealed up so water can’t intrude, any belt will slip with water and won’t let the tires to turn. The white smoke you’re referring to is the belt slipping and actively burning from your clutches rotating. First thing is replace the belt, then make sure the clutch housing is sealed properly. Hope this helps!
so h have the same machine i have with the mudda inlaw 28” tires which came from the dealer with those tires... and i have the radiator relocate and the snorkles... Before u put the clutch upgrade kit in, did you have issues with smelling rubber from the increased friction on the belt from the 28” tires? mine blew a belt before 400 miles. i just ordered the rvs/rsv clutch kit and a gforce belt. i think im gonna get the same belt u got tho.
I did the clutch kit before I mounted the 28’s but after the kit I smoked the stock belt in reverse but it would always pull good in low with no issues
Hey I have a 2016 sportsman 570 epi. What if your oem belt number doesn’t match the options on the website ? Should I just go with the closest oem number ?
I’d call and double check. The numbers all correlate with size and width of the belt and that all has to be correct to work properly, otherwise you could have issues or cause wear on the clutches
I’m trying to put this belt on right now do I need to take off the clutch I don’t understand why it’s so hard to put on
