I noticed the lenses didn't have blackened edges, I don't know if you blackened them, if not, you should. I've done this, by using a black, permanent marker to just give them a few coats, it really helps contrast. I've also done this on my eyepieces which didn't have blackened edges. You can get certain paints that would work, but I've had good results with a black marker.
Also, why not open it from the focuser end and not touch the lenses at all if there is debris in there...Which there always is with a ton of Sky-Watchers.

Glad i saw this comment and didn't try taking everything apart to remove mould which luckily was not between the lenses.
