This is a comment telling you to wear a mask. I haven't actually watched the video yet, I will later while I'm in bed, but I'm sure there is probably a point in this video where you don't wear a mask, and you should. Or maybe watch out and be careful with that knife! Or maybe be more careful and wear glasses when you are doing that thing. I'm not sure as I haven't watched the video but I'm sure you are going to be doing something dangerous that it's really important we all tell you not to do. This video will probably be enjoyable, I'll find out later.
I did! The intended purpose was as a canvas and leather grilling apron. It works great in the craft area though. The pockets are hight convenient for tools, materials, or my phone. Plus, it has a built in bottle opener!
@@Miscast I didn't know if i'd be into it, but its absolutely fantastic, and great for sci fi inspiration! It gets best I think by the second and third seasons.
@@michaelmiller2570 I just finished season 4 and was immediately craving more. I've always had an interest in making costumes for cosplay and their narrative gives me some great ideas.
I was having a hard time when I decided to put on this video. Something about the way you do things is so soothing and educational and it reminded me that I (and I think people in general) am at my best when in the creation process. It got me distraced, brought me out of my funk a little and maybe brought me some drive to create. Thanks for all that you do.
Looks great as usual man. I don't think I could survive without my airbrush for terrain anymore. But yeah, it takes some playing around and practice to be confident you're not just going to clog it up and have to spend 30mins cleaning it to get it to work again, but it's worth learning. Oh, and one day you'll probably leave paint in it...that'll likely be more than 30mins to clean :) Thanks for the video.
That’s why I started taking part in some competitons! To be forced to do something new! Like, recently I discovered that I really enjoy putting together tiny furniture and mechanical devices ;D
Ideas: use caulking, polyfilla or plaster on the foam. It gives immediate rock effect and seals all those embarrassing lines which make it obvious the model is 1” thick XPS. Use EPS not XPS. Reclaim it for free from the local tip. You will need a vacuum cleaner at hand.

Hi, I just discovered your channel and I think I've decided what to do in the rest of the lockdown :) I'm writing a big to-buy list of materials and tools (I quite a noob in the art of making terrain and scenery)... May I ask what colors do you use? In some of your videos you mentioned oil colors but I think there should be some acrylic ones? Since brands will be surely different my I ask an advice on what I should look for (in addition to "not buying cheap stuff" ^^)? Thanks!
Welcome! I buy colours I think look nice and I buy artist quality paints. I use artist quality because they have lots of pigment and therefore good coverage so I can work faster by using less coats of paint. The brand I use is Jo Sonja, its a mid-range priced paint at the art supply store.

That Bleached Lens Effect... so good. Nice use for the Glue Lids, too. Do you think that Liquid Nails is better than PVA? It's just that i've used Selleys products before, and your hand gets tired after pumping for so long. Apparently you can mix Metho with Silicon to make water effects. Worth a shot and cheaper than Epoxy. Nah but i also came to the conclusion: "Must be in stock at Bunnings at 9pm". None of this "oh the Arts & Craft Store is closed after 'x' on the weekend." What Layer Height are you using for the 3D terrain? I'm @ 0.05 on my FDM. Takes longer but you can't really see the lines.
I think it's pretty comparable to PVA, but I like the most about it is the ability build up forms, fill gaps and sort of sculpt it. I think you can get better chalking guns if that's a problem for you, I just use the cheap ones though. Yeah I've seen the silicon thing, I haven't tried it, I will. I think the epoxy was $2 which is a steal for something this small. Yeah Bunnings at 9pm has really saved my ass so many times. Printing at .2mm
