- Project Playboy coil-over conversion is complete and we take it on its first ride. The crew at salt works fabrication in Myakka Florida installed the entire kit in less than two days and it's absolutely perfect. Ride tech wishbone coil over suspension is engineered to perfection, and we show you the entire process of installing the setup. We also take a quick tour of this unbelievable coach builder and of course we go for the first ride in our 1988 Chevy OBS CK 1500 GMT400 truck!

I had the grand slam, BLK 97 crew cab duelly. 105k miles, lowerd true flames on the front, now I have a short 95 airbagged, old show truck. Always have a Chevy for your heart.
sick ass truck!! 🔥🔥💯
Looking great Chris.
Truck looks sick guys knocked it out of the park 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Did you have to roll front fenders??
Yes for sure lol
What are you guys going to do with this truck once done
Drive it! lol
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I LOVE IT!!!! SHE CAME OUT GREAT!!!!! HIGH-QUALITY SHOP AND HIGH-QUALITY PARTS SPOKEN HERE!!!! A MUST-WATCH!!!! GREAT VIDEO AND EDUCATION> THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!
OBS is sharp.
Daaammnnnn clean ass stance. Just picked up another obs today. My collection is growing lol
1988 was the first year for the OBSs but they only came in regular cab & extended cab pickup models at the time because the square body crew cab pickup & SUV models were still in production which lasted up through 1991. Then in 1992, the crew cab pickup & SUV models were redesigned to the OBS design. By the way 1988 was the first year for the extended cabs which were on the OBSs & 1973 was the first year for the crew cabs which were on the square bodies.
Truck looks great so far... my dad has drove one of these trucks since i was 7 years old now im 37 and he still has a 92 he drives daily and started out with a 89. Hopefully one day it will be mine and I can build it to this calibur.
Loving the OBS content . Truck is looking great . Looking forward to more OBS stuff
Very cool
Great job loved it
Beautiful truck. I have a 94. What's the part number for the ridetech kit? TIA
That’s a bad ass truck I hope I get one
Man this thing is sharp!!! I’d love to get a flick of this truck next to my pink one. What a dream build that is! Hell yeah.
Really nice I know how to do my truck lower now y'all building rest bad truck so 383 or l.s next ideal
A qr code brought me here. 😀
Love the old school OBS!!!!!
Man that's nice.
I got an 89 and on my sway bar has a factory spacer on passenger side
Interesting thanks!
@@motortopiaondemand My 1990 obs also has a factory sway bar spacer (bracket) on one side. Frank the Handyman is right.✌️
@@alfonsoj8764 Thanks!
That truck looks great all it needs now is the interior
Please spray bomb the frame from the cab forward after the frame alignment! A cut /polish and hand wax will make huge difference in the paint!
I know the wheels are different size but it looks funny, gives it an ass down look because you see so little tire in back and see alot up front. Staggered wheels call for an bump in the rear so you don't have that weird rear tire tucked look. But could be me, I like the wheels to have the same spacing in relation to the fenders. But to each their own. It's coming along for sure.
Nice
Va quedando muy chingona
I wish I could. Get my truck done like that.
Are you selling this truck?
In our case we're just gonna be safe... Proceeds to use a cutoff wheel with no guard
🟦
I thought it was gonna be way lower kinda jus looks like a flipkit in the back
Nice build. What torque specs did you set the cnotches at?
That would have been the perfect time to shit can that 10 bolt for a 9 inch. I know because I made the same mistake 😕
ant no one cutting on my truck
Change the headlights and blinker to new and tint or blackout the taillight
I don’t really think the frame is bent, if you look at the front bumper it looks damn straight but videos can be deceiving. That’s the perfect stance!
I did a 95 and just finished a 07 Classic and both have "The Chevy lean" they're up to 1.5 inches higher on the passenger side from the factory. I'd just drive it if I was them.
The bald guy looks like chuck from street outlaws..
Nice 👍🏆🏆🏆🔥
Did you ruin it? Well, that all depends on what the intended use of the vehicle is...if you just intend to cruise around nice, smooth city streets & never really haul anything but a$$, then no, it'll be just fine...but if anyone wants to really use it as an actual truck, they should probably get a different truck...not a fan of the wagon wheel look with the low profile tires...I prefer smaller rims & more sidewall on the tires...but that's individual taste...
I know you guys paid a fortune to get this kit installed. Why didn't you just do it yourself?
Sadly soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-(
In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!! (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO laws)!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just as bad as whistlindiesel Tearing up a perfectly good truck I could have seen leveling it out and dropping it 2” to 3” but cutting the frame and slamming it is Ridiculous
Hideous awful monstrosities. May God have mercy on your soul.
No seriously, tell us how you really feel
Lowered with fugly wheels and tires, what an unoriginal dumb idea.
