Just a heads up, there is no oregano in authentic mexican rice.
It changes the flavor. It’s very Greek and Italian.
Mexican oregano is used in Mexican cooking.,But not in their rice. Try and make it without.
Also the cumin(jeera powder) should not be roasted.
