- In this video, I'm redoing a guitar for my friend Chris Chaos. I'm going to call this guitar The Chaos Guitar. We have a look at the guitar and discuss what he would like to do with it. I get the guitar disassembled, rout a cavity for a 9V battery box and get the parts refinished, ready for the reassembly in part 2.

The model is the Squier Jason Ellis Showmaster. Symbol means "Balance". It came in Black & Red. Don't paint it!!!!!!
Replace the pickups with DiMarzio or Seymour Duncans and properly set up the FR.
Can't wait for part 2. Going to be a cool guitar.

I have the exact same guitar paid 79.95 for it. It was an o3 still had the plastic on the covers, had never been entonated for21 years & had overspray on it in white! Was a mess, I'm replacing the pickups & electronics cuz they suck! I'm going with dragonfire screamers!
Why change the headstock shape?
SQUIER.....it is spelled for you right there on the guitar a couple of times.

Why did you buy it, if you're not a fan of squier? Price? There's lots of inexpensive axes on MF
The price was right on this guitar. I have no problem with squires. I have a couple. The ones I haven't modified are actually left handed models. They are a bit harder to find. The right handed squires are plentiful and cheaper to play around with. They play and sound fine when set up correctly.
if you are on deployment you don't want an expensive guitar I myself had a guitar bust up on a mortar attack you just can't hope a strat will make it through a tour

don't need inlays use water or sticky decal's
What kind of an idiot is this? Mutilating a perfectly good guitar that is even a special editon. The sign is not some kind of a Chinese symbol. "Fender is a a good brand but Squier not so" :Facepalm:
