Certain Girl was written by Allen Toussant under the name of his mom, Naiomi Neville. Ernie K-Doe made it a hit and the first time I heard them do it back in the 60's it blew me away since I was already an avid New Orleans music fan and to hear my favorite British blues band was a "Cloud 9" experience. Their covers were always spot on.
@@robertgray6459 BURN KA-DO BURN!!! I loved his turns on WWOZ as a deejay, now Kermit Ruffins has taken over the Mother-In-Law Lounge in Treme - still a great place to hear live, local music.
@@FernandoJohnny That's usually a problem from audience recordings. It's hard if not impossible to get any kind of mix. 60's concerts struggled to get the vocals heard anyway, but listening to this is a real thrill.
Wow. Fabulous. Thanks for putting this on. I'm on cloud 9 listening to the boys. One of my favourite records is their cover of Certain girl 👌

Despite the poor quality of the recording the talent and power of the band overcomes that. Thanks for posting, this goes into my Yardbirds playlist.
Who suffers in this recording is the voice of Keith who is barely heard but on the other hand Page's guitar is loud
