Saquon took the high road and noted that it was his fault for not converting the pass, when it was called; however, he had in total only 3-4 rushes out of 22 total rushes that went for negative yards. So, why not run it with Saquon on 3rd and 3 and make the Falcons stop him. “The box was crowded”, wasn’t it crowded on that 2pt conversion, that Saquon powered through for success. This is the second week in a row, where the Eagles play calling could have ended the game with Saquon running it, and they chose differently. Last week, he could have had a 4th TD, but settled for a FG after a mistimed/fumbled “Brotherly Shove”, making 5 instead of 9. This week, he apparently (according to Siranni and Moore), can’t get 3 yds, when he had been getting 5+ yds on majority of his rushes. Is this a precursor for things to come, where they could ice the game with Saquon and his power and decide otherwise to make things more “interesting” instead of winning the game? The defense needs to be better prepped for rushing (with Kamara next) and more disciplined in the secondary!

Nah, run it, then do the pass. You win if you get the first down. If Barkley drops it on 4th down and you turn it over on downs, the Falcons have to go 60 yards for a FG starting out of the shadow of their own end zone with a minute left, just to send it to OT. They would need 98 yards with a minute left to win it. If you kick the fg, they need 70 yards from the 30 to WIN the game, and you give them four downs for the entire drive. The pass and the FG try were BOTH huge mistakes by Nick.
The biggest critique I have for passing to Saquan is that it stops the clock if he drops it. If they ran it and didn't get it, the clock would have run down another 39 seconds before Philly kicks the FG, leaving ATL with about 1:03 to score a TD to win. An extra 40 seconds means the play calling is a lot more open because ATL could use the middle of the field a couple times as well as the edges to drive down for the TD.
Not 1:03, there was 1:46 before the play. If you run the ball that takes it down to 1:41, you let the play clock run out, that brings it to 1:01, you kick the FG which brings it to 0:57. I don't get why people have so much problems with numbers.

Forget second guessing. The strategy made no sense, regardless of the potential success of that pass. Run the ball, and you either seal it with a first down, or you burn significant clock to take a field goal or make another attempt to seal it on fourth down. Big online and you pass?
who cares if people know what you're going to do....its your guys vs their guys just see who wins the battle.....run the ball third and fourth down...
If the eagles would've kicked the field goal earlier in the game they would've won anyway
Cost me my survival league
Somewhere in America Pete Carroll is projectile vomiting and Marshawn is just shaking his head.
Roseman is brilliant at everything but coach(laughable hires including Peterson who stinks in Jacksonville) and QB(paid Wentz and Hurts too early). IMO he hires shitty coaches on purpose to ensure he remains in absolute power. An obviously excellent HC could threaten him. It’s why the team fluctuates wildly despite having tons of talent….also why losing assistants(Reich and Steichen) destroys the team. Got very lucky in ‘17
Sure seemed like the Eagles sold
Eagles on belichick watch now this flower growing HC ain’t it
Who cares Eisen, you're not a coach. The play worked, except he dropped it. The play call wasn't the issue.
Hurts stinks. Bottom third at best.
Jalen Hurts has a Superman Syndrome. Jalen doesn't trust receivers & receivers don't trust Jalen. So, Jalen tries to be Superman by running. QB who thinks he's a RB
i said the same when he was at Bama. Funny they have the same problem now with Jalen Milroe.
Never trust a QB with that name--especially one who played EA college football and plays the game like he has a controller in his hand. The guy is just dumb. He makes his 'reads' and then runs anyway. If you're not wide open you don't get the ball.
What an ignorant take
What game were you watching?

Explain, how did a rookie, Brock, beat the Eagles?
@@egarza9241Brock wasn't a rook last year fool XD
Anyone who is calling it a dumb decision is dumb. They would call it dumb if he lost yards on a run or fumbled the ball. Barkley needed to execute... Catch the ball and bring it in. He was running all over Atlanta and playing well, why wouldn't you trust him to execute that catch and run? Also, the Eagles defense is more than welcome to stop the Falcons... Instead of just letting Cousins look like Tom Brady and pulling off a 4th quarter comeback on game-winning drive. Eagles entire back end is still TRASH! I said this multiple times last season and all in the off-season.. philly needs to throw ALL of their DBs away. Get rid of all of them and play backups... I guarantee it wouldn't be any worse.
The eagles stink 🤦🏾♂️
6:15 “it worked” no it didn’t
