Just curious. I'm really wanting to do an slc build. If I can get some engine measurements could you maybe cross reference and see if certain things would potentially fit? I've seen some of the v10 and v12 builds. But really thinking certain inline 6 engines might be a really solid option with a twin charger set up. Especially with the Graziano transaxle really being built for higher revving motors and the drop gear conversion being pricey and alot more in depth than just changing gears. Rb or 2j series motors can be built to rev pretty easily. And a non turbo block is a fine base point with supporting mods for forced induction. Rb30 block with 25 or 26 heads also doesn't have to be uber expensive though some shipping and modifications required. I mean realistically these cars also don't need much more than like 600 hp and being able to build more later on and have it come on higher in the rev range would make it more drivable as long as you got enough grunt down low. Series twin charging with a positive displacement super and a big single tuned right would get you there more easily.
@@JoelKSLC ouuuu that changes things entirely. From what every keeps saying the inline 6s were all too long to fit. Deffs fixes the issue of the transaxle and rpm range issues. And avoid the 1uz expense.
@@bmxriderforlife1234 I just posted the pic, I think it is a 2JZ. The builder also made room in the front like the other V10 builds so probably a bit longer than my LT4. Here is the link… www.gt40s.com/media/ac33545b-c8dd-4c0e-b46a-142f5c126a95-jpeg.1955/
Michael, you mean the removable Panel to the backing strips? I don’t know exactly, I’d like at least the top ones to be hidden. Probably use some small dual lock pieces. To do so, I’d Need to make a recess in the backing strips where the 3M dual lock would go to keep the panel flush. Ideally I’d like a panel with clips that self secure in a slot like modern dashboards. In any case, I’ll worry about that in about a year when work on the interior is planned to be started.
WoW..!!! 😲 This is excellent craftmanship..!!! 👍💯👌 Just sooo.., very glad you're sharing your efforts with the community at large..!!! 🙏 Thanks..!!! 😎
Thanks Norman, appreciate the compliment and glad you are enjoying the content.
Always enjoying your videos! It's nice to see it coming along!
Thanks Al, hope things are good and yes, still plugging away on the SLC.
Great Job Joel, she is going to be a Beast. Happy Halloween 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
Thanks Dave, as always appreciate your comments. Happy Halloween as well!
Good job Joel.
Thanks Johan, Hopefully I did your technique with the backing strips justice.

Sure, happy to help. There are a couple build threads out there for a BMW V10.
Also I have a pic of a 2J installed in an SLC chassis. It needs to be moved back maybe a little more than what I did but doable.

@@JoelKSLC sick thank you so much. Looks like it fits alpt better than expected.
Are you going to secure the tub to the mounting tabs? If so, how?
