for anyone else trying this, I got it to work on qemu, I created a VHD and used Rufus to "burn" the bin file to the VHD, then used qemu-img to convert the vhd to vmdk, then used qemu with the following commands "qemu-system-x86_64.exe -m 4G -vga virtio -hda c:\ChromeOS_Flex_Installer.vmdk" the important part seems to be -vga virtio to get it to boot
@@ivru2709 In searching around, I found that all you need to do is rename the extension of the bin file to raw. Then just run, qemu-system-x86_64.exe -accel hax -m 4096 -vga virtio -drive file=chromeos_14816.99.0_reven_recovery_stable-channel_mp-v2.raw,format=raw,media=disk
for viewers finding the comments on this page and trying to install haxm - QEMU stopped supporting HAXM as of update 8.2.0. either get WHPX working as your accelerator, or downgrade to 8.1.0

still a work in progress though
you also need -accel hax to increase performance

could you please publish a guide and/or the qemu arguments you used? this knowledge should be available to the public.
Should?
@@HikmatEUstad ok….. I managed to actually get this working, I’ll publish a guide soon (sorry).
@@tejasraman6913 Internet will be waiting to plagiarise and claim their own... good luck
How did you get it running? I tried to create ISO from Chrome OS Flex USB with ImgBurn and it didn't work. Tried VMWare VBox and QEMU.
That is the result of weeks of research and toil.

Would you be willing to sell the configuration files for Chrome OS flex on qemu?
No

@@HikmatEUstad Your comments are really funny to the people who want it for free. I ended up researching how to get it to work.

Thinks its okay to use open-source licensed software for their own profit. Should be sued and banned from the internet

Hitherto it is not possible.

@@HikmatEUstad how? there's no clear source for iso files and online documentation is poor. i need an iso file to do this in qemu
@@lands1459 You do not need an iso file; just an installable medium to boot off of.
@@HikmatEUstad i could use a usb drive and use the mount point (i'm on linux) but idk where to get that install medium

can you please do this on vmware?
