S T E V I A ! Yet another example of how Sabbath were always ahead of their time ! Thanks for posting this - can't go wrong with a bit of Ozzy, Tony, Geezer, and Bill.
Great song choice. Haven’t played in months but I think this is on the list for when I get back into it. Love these tutorials, too. You’re one of the most consistent guys out there. Keep it up.
More Iron Maiden please - Powerslave, Caught Somewhere in Time, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, Alexandar The Great, Wickerman, Senjutsu, Stranger in a Strange Land :D
Carl I know you don’t respond to comments a whole lot but I want to thank you for fueling my love for guitar and posting these tutorials. I learn more and more from you every day and I’m grateful for you and your channel
One of the most enjoyable and inspiring things I like to do is tune down to C# and just riff out to any Sabbath album (Master of Reality, Vol. 4, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Sabotage are mostly in this tuning). Either trying to figure out the riffs and melodies or just play along, you can pick up so much technique in your pick hand by itself. Iommi was so tasteful (and weird) and never overplayed. Obviously without their main output with Ozzy, metal would be so different. That isn't to discredit their output with Dio or other singers... ALL is mandatory listening as far as I'm concerned. (After All (The Dead) with Dio is an absolute masterpiece). Theres just something timeless about their first albums with Ozzy. Awesome lesson Carl. Even when I already know the tune I still watch (and hit like) because theres always another way to play or approach things. I've mostly self taught by ear so its helpful when you put the time into properly breaking things down and give your perspective. As always thank you for the time and effort into your content.
Congrats on having over a mil subs! When I first watched one of your vids 6-7 years you had maybe 200k, might have been more. I can't remember, it's been a long time.
OMG 😊 Thx so Freakin' much man for finally Playing this video & song !! For Real i Absolutely Love this Guitar Riff 🎸 always ...... dude as a guitarist myself brother i have alot of cool Guitar videos i have made right here on my UA-cam channel & this song is definitely one i have made several video's of it played different ways , Now i have tuned way down to Standard C# like that and Playing the main - riff on 8th & 10th fret top Power Chords , that's Tony's specialty bc i like playing it the way Ozzy's solo bands played it !! Which is of course in Played in E - Flat second fret it starts off like that at least thats that's the way Zakk Wlyde plays it & of course Brad Gillis did from The Speak of the devil concert ... either ways man thxs for finally Jamming this Awesomeness Riff Carl !!!!
The mighty Sabbath!!! Lord Iommi is the Riff Master!! You should do a lesson on the song that started Metal, “Black Sabbath” by Black Sabbath 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻✝️✝️✝️
Hell yeah! I love Sabbath! I only know the main easy riffs to Sweetleaf so I'm excited to follow your tutorial to learn the rest. I have a video on my channel of me playing into the void by Sabbath on acoustic with my buddy. The rhythm alone was a challenge but i persevered and got through it. Sweetleaf is next!🤘😈🎸🎶🎶🎶

🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘John Sykes freaking kills it on this song. Best song on the album and best Whitesnake song IMO. HIs solos, rhythm and pull-offs on this smokin song are like Randy Rhoads so fluent and 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯. Haven't listened to this for years, came across the CD again in my collection and fell in love with it again. Sykes was a genius on a Les Paul like Randy
