    Thank you for explaining in detail. I have watched sooo many review videos about this product and yours is the only ones that I can say that helped me make a choice. Yes I'm going to try Shea Moisture now.

    Ordered 4 JBCO products from Amazon. 3 came in 4 days (shampoo, masque and lotion). Ordered leave in conditioner, but it will be here this Wednesday. Got Friday. Saturday washed my hair with the shampoo. NOTE: I rarely use shampoo, the last time I did it (March). I co-wash my hair twice a week. After the first wash I was surprised because a little goes a long way and my hair feel soft after rinsing, not stripped or dry. Washed a second time (with less shampoo) and my hair felt really nice after rinsing, silky. Because I knew I was going to wash my hair I was using a little extra vitamin e oil, jojoba oil, avocado oil, and Friday night I put my shea butter oil to get a buildup on my scalp. My scalp felt heavy Saturday morning and I scratched up some buildup just to see. After 2 washes my scalp was super clean. Slathered on the masque, did a comb thru (no problems, no hairs came out) and put a plastic cap on while I took my shower. It was on for about 10 minutes. Rinsed and OMG, my hair felt super soft. Got out the shower, shook my hair and put a little bit of the lotion in the palm of my hand (about a nickle size, maybe a little more) and some Avocado oil. My hair is super curly, very hydrated, no frizz (and its hot here).

      what does Co wash mean

    • @Ceme612
      @Ceme612 8 років тому +1

      Co-wash means conditioner only wash. When you go to take a shower, first wet hair thoroughly, do not use shampoo. Take the conditioner and slather it in your hair from root to tip, fully covering hair, you can detangle with a wide tooth comb or fingers.

    • @Ceme612
      @Ceme612 8 років тому +3

      Before detangling, massage hair and scalp thoroughly, put a plastic cap on and wash your body. When finishing washing yourself, take cap off and rinse your hair thoroughly. If your hair feels oily or not clean, redo the co-wash, put cap back on, step out shower and rinse in about 15 minutes in the sink. My hair is clean after one co-wash because I have been co-washing my hair for 7 years, I used to be a WEN girl, but it was way too expensive.

    Thank you very much for your detailed review. I already have the mask and I wanted to buy more products of this line just as you did. I was a bit skeptical to buy the styling lotion, partly because I wanted to try the famous Curl Enhancing Smoothie, but now I think I will definitely give it a trial. Above all I really like your results on your bouncy curls !

      Orwa Ibrahim hi....yes this line really helped me at the time! The styling lotion is the one i use less because it can be a heavy on my hair. But i do like to use it when i pull my hair back

    Nice review. I'm Brazilian and there is a misunderstanding about the keratin treatment they call at least here in US, because in Brazil we have a very good treatment called I'd say "cauterization" and it's a keratin-base that restore very deeply your hair sealing the cuticles and it does not straighten the hair, actually it's really good for any type of hair. And they use the brush and the curly iron but if you wash it if becomes natural again.But when you hear outside Brazil it can straighten your hair and that's why I've never tried outside my country. I'm trying the styling lotion and I really wanna try the whole line. Thanks for you review :)

    If you have 3c/4a hair and you want your hair to be heavy/thick this is the product for you. My hair was so heavy/thick I could hardly comb through it. It did make my hair shine, but the JBC line is not for me. Some might like the look that I got, but not me. I'll just stay with the Paul Mitchell products. Paul Mitchell products are lighter and not heavy.

    • @vilmasclosett
      @vilmasclosett  5 років тому

      Thanks for sharing your experience. It was heavy for me at times. But it worked in helping my hair restore it's natural curl pattern. I had to be light handed as it is a very heavy line. Since then I have tried so many lines both from Sheamoisture and other brands...I now use a combination of, as I am lux line, camille rose neutrals curl maker, Sheamoisture raw shae butter conditioner as my leave in and my hair looks and feels great!! It's all trial an error to get the perfect curls for sure

    This is one of my favorite lines by Shea Moisture. It is a great Clairfying shampoo. My mask is also really thick. Your hair is pretty as usual. Maybe yours was runny because of shipping. I'm in the United States. Maybe that's why mine isn't runny. Yours really shouldn't be runny either. My mask is also darker.

    Oh boy, I want to try everything, like right freaking now. I'm mostly interested in the shampoo because of how much more product you get (almost a 1/4 more) in comparison to my beloved raw shea butter shampoo. I wonder if the other products would work on my super fine hair. Great review Vilma. P:S: I'm loving the hair cut with your natural curls.... u go gurllllll

    Great review! I tried this line last spring & summer (the shampoo, the conditioner, the leave in, and the styling lotion), loved the smell, but the protein was too much for my low to normal porosity hair. In back to my faithfuls.

    • @vilmasclosett
      @vilmasclosett  8 років тому

      Hey Jazmin, yes the protein at times makes stiff. after this video I finished all but the the shampoo which is lasting me ages😄. I bought the leave-in and the styling lotion twice. I've gone back now to Shea Moisture coconut and hibiscus curl enhancing smoothie....xxx

      I still have the shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner, and styling lotion left (all of it). My mom really likes the leave in and the styling lotion, but doesn't care for the shampoo or the conditioner. These products will get finished though. That's good. Do you think I could use the JBCO line every once in awhile?

    You can now get this at Boots (in the UK) I found it by accident in their natural hair care section today. Just used the shampoo and love it, I have been using the apple cider for a while and my hair goes really unmanageable without it and curls have no definition. I came online to find out about the rest of the range and this has been really useful I am going to buy the rest of the range now, thank you!

      it doesn't straighten or damage your hair if thats what you're asking. i used it everyday and it has done nothing but strengthen and soften my hair. If you're unsure use it on a small section of hair and see if it works.

    • @vilmasclosett
      @vilmasclosett  7 років тому

      Ghida Ramadan Keaira Deshong I agree with Keaira. Keratin is something we all have in our hair and skin (if I am not mistaken) however, with time we loose it and at times, some more than others. I had 3 keratin treatments done from 2009 to 2010. I would never go back. But those had a straightening ingredient where as this one, is to make your hair stronger and to bring your curls back to life. The only negative is that you may find it to heavy on your strands. I no longer use it but it did wonders when my hair was in need of pampering. 😉

      They possibly recommend this line as the shampoo and conditioner may help your hair. However, the styling products may be to heavy and leave your hair greasy looking.. try and search online for samples so that you can try it first

      Vilma, I need to know. what does leave in conditioner means though ? I couldn't find a reliable definition online. Does it means it helps detangle and you can keep it on your scalp all day ?

    • @vilmasclosett
      @vilmasclosett  7 років тому

      Lechiffresix six leave-in conditioners are the base for your styling routine. They're to be left in the hair. They're supposed to make your hair soft, shiny, healthy, prevent frizz etc. They also protect your hair by retaining moisture in the hair. As far as I'm aware you should not put leave-in conditioners on your scalp as it could make your scalp flake because of moisture overload. On your scalp you should use oils or serums that are ment to be used in that area. I hope this helps😉

    • @PHlophe
      @PHlophe 7 років тому

      ***** thank you so much for the help.I really thought it worked like styling gel .you put in and you walk out of the house.would you advice using a leave in conditioner every day for a few minutes and wash it out with water ?
      I've got 2 of the products you reviewed and a pal told me to get cantu cream. which by mistake i have now used six times , it states leave in conditioner below the ingredients. Now I am worried. I cannot tell whether it has damaged my hair yet.or if i need to wash it out completely and just stick to argan oil.
      what would you suggest for daily quick styling for a guy in a hurry.

    • @vilmasclosett
      @vilmasclosett  7 років тому

      Lechiffresix six I never liked the Cantu leave-in conditioners because they left a film on my hair. Leave-in can be rinsed off if you wish. But this defeats the purpose if being a leave-in conditioner. These should damage your hair at all. You can also use them on their own depending on your hair texture and hold that you need. If have fine hair I would not recommend creamy leave ins. A spray would maybe be better. What hair texture do you have??

      I believe they work together to improve the overall health of your hair! But I must admit that the stars of the show are both the shampoo and leave-in conditioner. The other two I would skip it in the future. I have repurchased the leave-in because it is that amazing!! I use it together with the Shea moisture coconut and hibiscus hold and shine spray (please refer to one of my most recent videos to see my hair growth and health) thanks so much for watching!!

      You should try just the shampoo and conditioner from this line. The shampoo would be good for everyone to use because it cleanses really well. Since you do have straight hair, the conditioner would be good to use as well. it is very light and not heavy or thick like the leave-in conditioner.

      Vilma Marie I have a question. would it be ok to straighten my hair once or twice a year? I'm currently transitioning after a lady burned my hair a year and a half ago. I only trimmed it once since then because I had a short hair cut at the time. I needed to grow it out. I also have new hair growing (baby hair) after I lost a lot of hair when I had my baby in January. my hair is all over the place. I like to straighten it once or twice a year and I never had a problem before with losing my curl pattern, but since I'm transitoning, I'm concerned to do it.

    • @vilmasclosett
      @vilmasclosett  7 років тому +1

      Rolla4Beauty I believe you totally can!! As long as you prep your hair beforehand, it should be totally fine!! I had a bad haircut this year and I almost cried!! But by being patient and finding the right haircare routine, my hair has grown tons and is super healthy😉
