Today is 5 years since my amputation after a horrific injury. I remember watching this performance leading up to my surgery, wanting to dance again. I kept coming back to this video, and it solidified that I would make a way to live my life again as an amputee no matter what. Amy, you’ll never see this comment but these two minutes have so many of us strength, it continues and flows daily in everything that you do 💜
I don't even watch dancing with the stars and I can already tell she deserved to win. This woman had to learn to walk all over again, nonetheless dance. She's just as good as any other dancer on that show? And that took blood sweat and tears literally. I guarantee you.
I'm actually glad that Amy didn't win. Nobody would know if she won because of her talent or because of her disability. If Amy won people might've said it was due to sympathy votes.
Any didn't win but she was amazing and not just for a woman with no legs just amazing in general problem was she went up against Meryl Davis who is one of if not the best contestant the show has ever seen and unfortunately she could keep up with Meryl's consistentcy that season was hers to win
Unbelievably inspiring to any woman who doesn't feel like she's enough. For any woman who negative self talks her physical "flaws." As a dating coach I hear women, as well as men, be nasty to themselves, think they aren't good enough, fear they won't get a good person to love them because of something physical. Something, in the grand scheme and at the end of the day, that doesn't' matter. You are enough. You are only human. xx

I was in the very front of the first audience you showed. I saved all my pennies and traveled with my Le-Vel family to Dallas, TX. to see you in person and hear your story. I went back to my Airbnb and immediately ordered your book. It was the best birthday present ever. Amy, you joined my journey in 2014 after an accident took the use of left leg and I was on dialysis. I kept you a secret from everyone because I didn’t want anyone saying to me, that I still had my legs and your story was so different from mine. I had a bond with you that few can understand. And I am grateful for hearing your story, blessed to be able to still move forward with my own challenges and I am motivated by your inspiration. I’m so excited to follow you still as you embark on another platform and share your humility.

When I heard the first word from what song I almost screamed bcuz only human by Christina perri is astounding! and right there I started to tear up bcuz I knew the song is just perfect for this dance to be dedicated to her father! This is now one of my favourite performance from DWTS along with many others but favourite contemporary for sure

This reminded me of the movie The Machine, Only my brain can describe what I am feeling. I can't really put it in words but the only one I could say is Beautiful, Seeing her dance makes my heart dance and cry.
The dance is about Amy's father supporting her,even giving her a kidney after the amputation.Derek nailed the emotion of a father willing to do anything for his daughter.
