(Ep. 9) The Analysis of Reasoning: Going Deeper - Inferences
In this episode, Drs. Linda Elder and Gerald Nosich discuss inferences as an Element of Thought. An inference is a step of the mind - an act of the intellect - by which one concludes that something is so in light of something else being (or seeming) so. It suggests arriving at a decision or opinion by reasoning from known facts or evidence.
