The reason Denali provides all the complicated wiring is that the compressor draws up to 20 amps. This is a lot more than your stock horn, which your stock wiring was designed for, so it's safer to have it draw power directly from the battery via dedicated wiring and a relay. It might work just fine to wire it directly, or it might blow a fuse (if you're lucky). Or it might start melting things. It all depends on the bike. Personally I wouldn't recommend it--I'm glad it worked out on your bike, but someone else could very easily have issues. Motorcycle electrical systems, as a rule, are not designed with much in the way of excess capacity (certain touring and adventure bikes being the exception). So you want to be very careful about adding load. Yes, you have fuses and ideally those will blow before you melt something else. The problem is that fuses don't blow instantaneously; you have to have exceed their rating for some interval. Certain kinds of accessories can "spike" on startup and draw enough current to damage your electrical system, but for too short an interval to blow the fuse. A specific example is HID (xenon) lights. There are lots of horror stories (with pics) from people who installed aftermarket HID kits on older vehicles, only to melt their fuse box or create some other electrical carnage. And it may take days, weeks, or longer for something to fail (again, because the overdraw is intermittent--it's doing a little damage every time it cycles). The zip-tie mounting, however, I wholeheartedly approve of :D
I share your concerns as well. So I lowered the fuse amp for the horn line just to be on the safe side- erring on the side of my fuse blowing first before anything melts. In other news, it's no longer my problem because I trade it in for a Harley 🤣 Yes, the zip ties are the best form of engineering for your bike 😁

My air horn arrived today I’m so excited to see how it sounds in person 😍 I have a 2021 zx6r and I agree loud pipes save lives! I had a M4 exhaust installed before I took it home. So worth it
@SarahRN, were you able to mount it at the same place as the original horn? Or did you mount it somewhere else? I haven't got one because I keep reading about it being hard to mount on full faring bikes.
@@puthiyaorennam4938 So I ordered the full sized denali horn. I needed to order the mini denali horn because the larger one literally can't mount anywhere. The mini was able to mount right where the stock horn is :) Hope this helped!
I have the exact same bike (different color) with that same factory tall option windscreen. Thanks for posting this, was wondering where I could mount an air horn!
Never understood why there's so much angst and emotional immaturity over the issue of loud pipes and saving lives. If we could all install a single button on the handlebar that would be the one-stop solution to prevent all kinds of dangerous hazardous things on a motorcycle, we'd be stupid not to. If a car was about to cut us off, we'd push the button and the issue would be resolved. If a deer jumped out in front of us, we'd push the button and the issue would be resolved. If we hit a patch of sand entering a corner at a high rate of speed, we'd push the button and the issue would be resolved. If we got caught in a hail storm while riding a long way from a shelter, we'd push the button and the issue would be resolved. There is no such thing as a single solution for motorcycle danger reduction, it takes a comprehensive and broad set of rider skills. Louder exhaust has never been a claim to broad solution for everything, but it is one way in which a motorcycle can be more "present" around ever increasing distracted drivers. I will say however, most of the sounds from a motorcycle emit backwards, so louder exhaust is probably less effective than you might hope it to be as pertaining to forward and lateral hazards.
If you head over to DenaliElectronics.com they have a fitment finder. You can put in your year, make, and model of vehicle and it looks like there are several cars that their horns will work with. I don't see why you couldn't just swap it out with your car horn easily enough. Thanks for watching!
That is a custom seat I designed on Corbin's website to match my bike. The base seat is a Corbin "gunfighter and lady" seat, then just change the materials and colors to match your needs man!
@MOTOBLADE You won't be posting a smiley face if you come off! Have you seen what sliding along the road does to bare flesh? If you don't care for yourself, don't moan when cagers don't care for you either!

@@MOTOBLADE Good idea! Much better than what some might do--wait for the fuse to blow, then replace it with a bigger one 😆
Totally agree. Use the relay.

I've heard the M4 exhaust before on a ninja and it sounds soooo good. Keep it loud, keep it safe. Have fun 😎✌🏻

@@sarahrn9574 is the mini as loud or is it just slightly better than the stock?
@@puthiyaorennam4938 it’s slightly better than stock. Deeper tone. It’s not as loud as the bigger denali air horn of course, but it’s still better :)
Thinking about getting one for a new 2023 honda cbr1000rr. This video gave me more confidence in the product and ease of install
I got rid of the ninja. Traded for a Harley. Need to get a new one for the harley. Easy install nothing to worry about.
Thanks for the review and welcome back "did you get your commercial license ?"
Thanks man! Yes! Commercial pilots license is all done. Now I'm finishing up my instructor ratings for CFI/CFII and I will be ready to teach!
Great vid and congrats on your hard work paying off for the pilots license!

Awesome! Glad I could help! Zip ties are your friends :)
Dang that thing is cool. I wonder if they make one that's even louder for my bagger?
I think they make another option, but I have not really investigated it or tried any other options.

Sounds great. I think I might put that on my '15 Vulcan S. Fun to just drive around and scare the s@#! out of the cagers. Thanks for the review bro!

should have run a wire harness for sure. i have this on my softail nighttrain and it turns heads everywhere i go

Did you just install with the bikes wires? No extra relay?
No extra relay. In fact, tried the extra relay and it wouldn't work. So just went straight with the bike wires and it works great!

Kawasaki calls that "Candy Burnt Orange" has some metal flake in it. Really pretty color in the sun.
I’m still listening to other horns
Parallel v twin ,,,
wtf is that windsheild bruh
Sounds like an asthmatic parakeet. Would much rather have a deeper tone, rather than that little "Roadrunner" meep-meep" sound.
No relay required
