Effort underway keep illegal fireworks from crossing California border

Sacramento County received more than 1,500 complaints over fireworks last year. Now, there is a new push to stop illegal fireworks at the border before they are ever brought into California.

The trouble is that there they blew it when they moved the i-15 inspection station further north
They opened up a gaping route to bypass the station
They should have kept it in yermo
In northern California you can bypass the inspection stations coming from reno though it would add about 100 miles onto the return trip

i agree with the rest here...its already started here and its not likely to stop. all i can suggest is to be vigilant, keep your head on a swivel and have your own fire watch for the next 10 nights.
