The Italian prog scene is such a cool and unique corner of the music world... great video
Area is a masterpiece of Italian Prog Rock for me. Complicated song compositions and powerful vocal are critical and really impressive for me.
Area was as important as the other three bands, not only for the jazzy approach to the genre, but also because of the vocal experiments of their singer Demetrio Stratos.
Eye (and ear) - opening. Thanks for the introduction!
This is a classic for all time! And what about, in my opinion, the most innovative and unique Il Balletto Di Bronzo - Ys? And PALEPOLI of course! Well, and certainly underestimated by the merits of Quella Vecchia Locanda!
Thank You. I’m new to Italian Prog. Have discovered bands like New Trolls,PFM & Le Orme
I'm italian and yeah, they are amazing
A decent introduction, nice to see some footage I hadn't seen before, but no mention of Arti + Mestieri? They're equally important IMO. And Furio Chirico is one of the fastest and most impressive drummers ever, in any genre. Also would've been nice to see more Area represented/shown.
I did think about Arti + Mestieri but couldn’t find a good spot for them, great mention! Big fan of Area as well
Claudio Baglioni did some progress rock back then.
check out Perigeo for more italian prog/fusion/jazz
Either your voice is mixed too low, or the music is way too high. Supreme subject matter though.
probably the music being too i think - thanks for letting me know, will keep an eye out for it going forwards!
