Over here in arkansas different rules, points are all same when thrown, shot, and kicked, you can pick it up and bounce it by arm then throw it to teammates.

If someone kicks it to their teammate does it have to be caught in the air or can it bounce and then caught?

I guess that can be determined by the group. We always said it had to be sent directly from floor to hands without a bounce.
