Awesome performance! ☺ I was wondering how that worked with representing two different regions. How was it decided which regional and sectional you two would skate to qualify for nationals with one being from Illinois and the other from California?
Thanks! For Senior ice dance, there is no Regionals, not enough teams any one region. I (Oleg) represent North County Skating Club in California so I am in the Pacific Section. Kseniya represents the Skokie Valley Skating Club so she is in the Midwesten Section. As far as where we go, we can go either place, so we pick a place we would like to visit and hope there will be enough to hold a competition. Last year we had four teams at Pacifics, this year just us.
Because even if there are four or less teams, it does not guarantee a competition as the top four in a Section get to go to Nationals and teams can say they want to go directly bypassing Sectionals.
