About 45 years ago a class action lawsuit was brought against the Franklin Mint for PRICE GOUGING their silver products by 2x the price of silver. The suit was dropped when the price of silver went over $40 an oz. Thanks to the Hunt brothers! You would THINK some HOT SHOT LAWYER would start a class action lawsuit against the U.S. Mint as they are now charging OVER 3X the price of silver ( currently $31.50 or thereabouts!) What do you folks think about some lawyer taking up our case against the mint for PRICE GOUGING?

I received that email today as well I couldn't believe what I read I canceled my 2024 peace in Morgan uncirculated subs I actually decided to purchase the NGC graded and MS70s on monument metals paid quite a hefty amount but I was planning on getting three coins each subscription not going to be just coming from monument as one and zero from US Mint... I canceled my subs for all the Peace and Morgan coins. They raised the price almost 20%. If they maintain the 20% increase, the Silver proof set will skyrocket to over $156.00. I'm about at my wits end with the Mint. If you're going to cancel your subs, I would do it immediately. With the holiday here, they might start charging credit cards today or tomorrow. One time I was charged 9 days ahead of the coin being released. So do yourself a favor and cancel NOW!
I cancelled my uncirculated dollar sub but kept my proof and reverse proof set sub at one for now. My mint purchases going forward will be inversely related to price increases,, I will buy less as prices increase. I wonder how the price increase will affect the dealer pricing and purchase strategies, especially for those who are pre-selling MS 70s.
I was going to buy the 2024 -W Gold Buffalo ounce coin, but not for over 3,000 dollars. When you go to sell it, they won't give much more for a W mint mark so why pay almost 1,000 bucks for more than the current price of an ounce gold coin?

I got this email and was blown away by the price increases and immediately went to the US Mint website and cancelled all of the subscriptions. This is price gouging by a government entity who would investigate a private company for doing the exact same thing. There is no way that anyone could possibly see this as a good investment because these coins aren’t that special or in high demand. This is what happens when a company builds a large customer base and then tries to take advantage of it.
That's going to hurt them on sells doing that because people will cancel their orders that's one of the reasons I didn't buy these because they raised the price of them

It could happen that we will be able to buy these 2024 graded from the royal ABPP cheaper than OUR U.S. Mint charges us. Democracy has appeared on two U.S. coins, the 1991P/S Mount Rushmore Silver Dollar and the 1993P/S Jefferson Silver Dollar. Doubt we will see it appear again any time soon.🤣

Hey SW, Yuppers, the Us Mint site now says TBA on the 11 Jul 24 Morgan's and Peace. I just received my (1) Silver Proof Set today, price $130. I'll be hard pressed to pay $91 each for the Morgan and Peace.
The price increase chart has been emailed by the US Mint today. Prices are sky high no more for me. I bet anything that next year they will have a limited release thinking it might be a silver eagle or Morgan and peace silver dollar. It will be a low mintage release and customers will scramble to get them and forget about the price increase. I will bet you hands down
I recently dropped multiple subscriptions due to their high costs. I'm interested in the flowing hair releases, and one of the morgan peace dollar releases, but I'm dropping most of everything else. I'm also interested in the UNC set.
This is what happens when you let a HR person run your mint, they are just greedy now. Like The Royal Mint in my country, the only way they can justify this is because they are governments mints, and have no capital gains tax on the coins, without that people would drop them .

At $130, it now seems like a bargain.
