I agree. I bought 2023 Morgan and Peace proof dollars from the Mint. I just don't like them. Sure, they are very shiny and well made, but I see no contrast and no tone. I will sell them or give them away. I like my 100+ year old ones better.

I bought the 2023 first release peace and Morgan NGC PF 70 ultra cameo for $200 bucks each. Don’t know what the value will be in the future bc of the mintages but to be honest, I really don’t care. The coins are absolutely gorgeous and will look beautiful in my collection. ✌🏼

They’re gonna hold their value because now they’re printing them year after year which means there is collectibility, and people are gonna wanna own the first year that it was minted

It has been nice to see these do so well. A lot of people were thinking these would fall in price, but instead they have gone up as fewer are available. I bought the extras and sold them which ended up paying for my entire lot. Free is good. Cheers!

I mentioned elsewhere that I missed the boat on the 2021 dollars from the mint.
I didn't realize until this video that the BU 2023 coins are slightly less expensive than the 2021s. The 2021s were even more pricey than 2023's Proof coins. Of course, that could change by the time they are available.

2021 Morgan Mintage: ~875,000 total of all varieties. (all mint privy marks)

    2021 Peace Mintage: ~200,000

Does these numbers look correct, Silver Wolverine?

    • @SilverWolverine95

I believe that would be 925,000 for 2023.. 250,000 Rev, 400,000 Proof, 275,000 UNC.. This would be the limits but we do not know actual sales yet because they have not sold any. 2021 875,000 is the total product limit, but actual Sales are less (showed in video) Same with the 2021 Peace Dollar. Less than 200,000.

    Thanks for the roundup, Wolverine.
I didn't start stacking until March last year and, because I live outside USA, I decided to buy the 2021 Morgan & Peace Dollar set in NGC MS70 FDI, but that was about August. I bought them all on Ebay, paying $1700 for the D Morgan, plus a raw D and S mintmarks. I know, now, that the prices I paid were high, but I am a legacy collector enjoying my new twilight years hobby, and I'm not re-selling any.
Importing raw coins from overseas and then sending them to NGC/PCGS is too expensive, unless I've got at least ten cracking coins to send off............and they better be real good; even with the NGC Registry offer of four(I think) free gradings for my first submissions. Even the cost-averaging is hit by additional international delivery charges. 90% of my US coins are slabbed.

I found a 1964 proof set with a DCam Kennedy & sent it in. It's not every day you find a 64 with DCam. So yeah if I submit a coin it has to be kind of unique.

Yes. CC Morgans from GSA Hoard (sold to public in 1970s) sell for about $350-$400 in BU condition. I go after these instead of the fake CC privy mark 2021s, which I think sell for similar prices…. An 1884-CC was actually minted in Carson City. 2021 Morgan not so much…

I suspect getting a 70 score handed out from a grading company has better odds if the coins is coming from a big retailer, less odds for coins that were submitted by some joe smoe. I would consider submitting the coins if you feel it's worth the grading cost assuming all the coins came back graded 69. You might get a 70 but I wouldn't count on it. Personally I can't see the difference between a 69 and 70 on a modern coin except for the label. But secondary marker buyers will pay a lot more for a 70 graded coin.

None of this 'collectible' trash will retain it's value long term. The real long-term collectible stuff is low mintage, kino pieces.

Buying this stuff on EBay? How do you know these are not good quality Chinese fakes? That is the reason the coin shop wouldn't buy them, they don't want to take the risk. This is the reason I stay away from numismatic coins, too risky.! Guys, be careful here.

@@harrybond1485 In that case the following won't bother you, Harry. Learn to spell. The correct grammar is "You repeat yourself too often", not "You repeat yourself to often". Hopefully you'll grow from this information.
