Feeling the Sarr drafted 1st and traded back for Clingan vibes today. I don't see us keeping someone who wouldn't work out for us. Thats just a clear warning shot at our team that he won't be happy. I'm sure if we didn't coddle him and forced him like we should that he'd grow to love playing with Trae, but that's just not the way our society does things anymore. If it's a Houston trade, send them Capela and Sarr or Capela and Zaccharie for Clingan and another very good player. They've wanted Clint back and he'd really be a seriously experienced upgrade for them.
If we do trade back, stay away from getting Portland's overrated Jeremy Grant in a package deal, he's way overrated! Maybe Utah's Lauri Markenan would be a good option but not sure what else we'd really want other than capital. We could unload Hunter in a deal today, I'm excited!
I don't know if you read your own responses Brad, but I agree with you about not trading Trae. You don't just get clutch players and nobody can dispute that he is a good one! He needs a cast built to him like it was a few years ago. Yeah the talent was lower, but they knew their roles when they went to conference finals and coulda won in place of Milwaukee. I'm not living in the past so much as I know depth and role players are just as important with the clutch franchise player. We need better role players that will play and not sit half the season. Depth, hustle, hungry youth!
Brad, I just think that every Hawks fan is worried that the Hawks are gonna take Rissachie and not do anything else and run it back AGAIN. Because there would be minimal reason to. Unless the tax forces their hands but it would be another smaller move
@@PhonyPhoniPhonéThose picks won't even be worth anything. More like late picks in the late 20's. The knicks will be good so those picks don't matter l, especially with Thibs being the coach known for not playing Rookies

I say we ride this new season with Trae and Murray till we get 30 games sample. Replace Hunter and Capela, give our new guys a chance and see what we have. If we're struggling, then consider breaking up the duo, but not before we streamline and capitalize on the potential gains from this draft! I hate hearing we're listening to "Trae or Murray offers". I know it's due diligence, but if you believe in your foundation then you don't allow that stuff to leak like they do. Landry and especially Ressler can't seem to get out of their own ways when it comes to building confidence in what was supposed to be a "new culture". I don't like it. Anyone with a "winning and success" attitude cuts out the distractions/drama like Trae and Murray do, while our front office seems to attract, even crave the attention.
We need to trade the pick to get a pick for next year which is projected to be much better. Plus we can still get who we want this year even moving down
Handling is developed from an early age, not when you get in the NBA. Zaccharie Risacher is gonna struggle against traditional SF's night in and night out in the NBA. He will not be getting his own shot like some think he will imo. He will be either a fast break or spot up player with alot of turnovers when putting the ball on the floor. Think Deandre Hunter or Marvin Williams with this pick. I think Sarr is overrated and gonna have trouble getting his own shot and staying away from overreaction jumping to block shots. He's unproven while Clingan was instrumental in 2 college championships. If Clingan sticks to some trainer dietary program he's only gonna get better!
I've personally never cared what Vegas odds say. They have their own agendas. I see pick Sarr keep/trade, pick Zaccharie and trade, or take Clingan and keep but least likely we take him #1 though I see him a young Brook Lopez which would be a good thing for us and great pick.
@@PhonyPhoniPhoné Thank you for Replying. I believe so too but I guess they kept there's hush hush. It is concerning how his camp would decline a workout for the hawks. I'm team take Sarr at 1 then trade back for clingan and picks if we have to trade back.
Great take. I feel the same. Rit’s plus side is that he is a wing and he plays off-ball. But his defense is not great. He also cant finish at the rim. Cling is a great center, but he is not that much different from Clint. Cling will occupy the paint which will create crowding issues with our offense in the paint. This was the same issue with JC and Clint. Reed is a great catch and shoot 3 pointer with some defense, but too small to be SG especially with a small PG like Trae. I hate how much the agents affect the game, but I still think we should get Sarr. Like Trae said, winning changes everything. Sarr’s defense would make his value to go up. If he wants out, we can always trade him in the future. I also think when the agencies interfere with drafts, they should be fined by NBA or the player should be penalized. It’s ridiculous that because of how agents have histories with certain teams, they hold their players hostage.
he's a decade younger than Clint and can already do what Clint does. Could easily match if not surpass Clint by his prime. You keep Sarr and he doesn't play, you waste time valuable to Trae and us while getting probably less because we're backed into a corner. We lose leverage which is EVERYTHING in negotiating.
If the Hawks don't draft SARR they will make every Hawks fan MAD! He is clearly the best player with the most upside. Any Talent scout can see that. Atlanta fans are hoping they draft SARR and stay away from the other little skinny French kid ZR. He is a bust but SARR will be a STAR!
Also, look at his build... history repeats itself, look at Ralph Sampson, Manute Bol, Shawn Bradley, and most recently Kristaps Porzingas. The Spurs are already protecting him with load management half a game at his youngest and freshest he'll ever be because as good as he is, he's got fragility no matter how much muscle he puts on. You don't grow that tall w/o there being a loss physically elsewhere. He will likely be injury prone due to his body type whether people want to face facts or not. Clingan is gonna be just fine if he takes the trainers and dietary serious. The taller you grow the more stress you put on your legs, feet, and ankles. It's medical semantics though could go either way. Clingan could ignore trainers and become Tractor Trailor...., though I doubt it. He seems smarter than that.
was hoping we'd have a live show from Hawks perspective but don't see one... got everyone else and their brother offering to club a baby seal for subscriptions and likes now....
Sarr or Clingan, please. Rissacher is a waste of time. We already have his type of play on this with other 6'8" and 6'9" players on this team. We do not have a 7'0" + Player on this entire squad. 🤷🏽♂️
How bout this- trade down even far down and draft Bronnie James then package him along with Murray or Trae for multiple first and second round picks from the Lakers?
Honestly the fact that the team hasn't publicly shut down the rumors and made it known that they aren't trading their super star generational point guard pisses me off
Appreciate all the content during this whole draft cycle Brad

I'm fine with Risacher as long as we drafted Sarr 1st overall and work a Washington trade. If they don't want to play ball, I'm thrilled to keep Sarr.
Historically none of the player that declined to play for certain team whom draft them turned out great.

Draft Risacher. Pass on Sarr he's heart not with us.
How can teams not be interested in a guy whose dad is arguably the most gifted pro athlete ever.
Should the hawks call Houston and PHX and trade DJ to PHX to help Houston get KD for the 3rd pick as well?
I have $ that Clingan will never win DPOY.... as long as Wimby stays healthy.
Voter fatigue is a thing so even if wemby puts up 2k numbers every year eventually they will give it to someone else
