Man! I just baught my first Microtech, a Combat Troodon S/E drop point in red handle w/ stonewash finish blade. Now I want an LUDT too! Thanks for showing how that texture on the grip really is. I have not handled one in person yet and wondered about that.👍👍

I have 4 GEN 2s and a GEN 3 like yours. I totally agree with you. It is rock solid. At first, I thought it was a little bit toy like until I got to use it. The blade length is a little shorter than the GEN 2, which was disappointing at first. All four of my G2’s have side to side and up down play. Gen 3 is play -free.

I had one of those. Unfortunately sold mine. It was about 0.008-0.009” behind the cutting edge. It was in M390 steel

Show me another knife for 300$ that can't cut cardboard or a feather stick. Exactly..they all can do the exact same thing. So what makes the ludt so much better? I own over 20 ludts and have edc'd the ludt for 7 years so i know all about them. These other guys don't, so tell them what makes it great.

@@shane4176 an upgrade from the gen 2 (which was perfect btw) is the bearings which make the knife fire as hard as the gen 2 but smoother. They added a fuller to the blade, a back spacer, and torx screws so regular people can take them apart for mods or cleaning. 3m grip tape ensures no slippage while using (unlike the gen 2 which can be slick at times). New clip for the gen 3 (actually a socom alpha clip). You can baton, slice, push cut, underwater cut, dirt cut, and even shoot it with a bullet and it doesn't fail....unlike more pricey mt otfs. They have partial serrated, standard edge, tanto, and drop points available in many great colors and some not so great colors. It's not a pocket hog at all. And for a small compact folder there is enough purchase in the grip to be 100% comfortable while having almost 4 inches of sharp, slicey blade to cut with. I have owned and hard used at least 50 knives that were supposed to be the best knife ever, and I choose to carry a ludt over all of them. Real easy to sharpen. Also, it has never fired in my jeans pocket. I sleep with it in my shorts pocket and it has never fired accidentally. For not having a safety that is fantastic.
