Atlas is new Atlas 7S, check the back for SRMs. Blackjack is new also BJ-3, Dasher is new Dasher D, Archer is new Arc-5R, Locust is new LCT-3M, Wasp is new WSP-3W.
Just for the minis you get alone are worth the value. All the extra things are great bonuses. Paper buildings may be cheap, but they are effective for gameplay. Punch-out markers and forest is also effective.
I love the trees and even the buildings since it is still an upgrade in visuals over the paper hex maps my band of grognards insist on using, even for Alpha Strike.
For something to get started in Battletech. This is amazing. You get some great mechs and terrain to get your feet wet into the game. Sure we have better products for people who know the game but for someone new like me? Fuggin hell yes
The Answer is Yes, now go buy one. Best out of box experience I have ever had, Balanced forces, full table of terrain and rules you can easily learn the night you crack the box open instead of months later.
That actually looks like a great set for the minis and paper terrain alone, they did a good job with that. I am curious how those rules play. I think I've maybe tried a version Alpha Strike years ago, but it seemed like a simplified quickstart version. I did find I like 40k's way of very quickly rolling through attacks and effect more in general, though the AS rules I remember looking at seemed to take things a bit too simple. Is kind of a pity they didn't put in a Thor or something like a Ryoken but the Inner Sphere choices look solid. I do love these minis either way.
Dig your work sir! Any chance we could get content organized into playlists? Maybe one for painting like a how to would be great for someone just getting into that. Maybe another for your box reviews and another for your openings?
I have the KS2020 force packs. This boxset repeats all mechs but 2. Does not work for me. Since it is not CBT, it has no maps. And I like CBT and the crunch of internal micromanagement and its maps. Not for me. Buildings made of thin cardboard, very fragile. And I have the skills to make my own paper cut-outs. So, not for me. I already have Alpha Strike Commander's Edition, so the rulebook in this box is not useful for me. My table is small, and Alpha Strike requires a big table. So there is very little for me in this box. It seems I am a worst case scenario. But it is just me. If you do not have all these issues, I am sure it will be absolutely worthy. As you can see, if you have the opposite situation I have, it will be a great purchase.

I love the thorough reviews and enthusiasm you show for the hobby. Thanks for putting the comments back up on your videos.
Thank you for the kind words, it really helps to motivate me to do more vids!
Great info. Oh, and I love the ultrawide video format. I wish more content creators would do that! Subbed!
