What I mean when I said it hits differently is because the meaning of a song is subjective. Him coming out adds meaning to the song for me. Again, it's how you look at it.

David's 3rd album, The Other Side Of Down, didn't seem to be promoted well...and it's too bad because it is a really good one with lots of well-written, well-performed, beautiful and catchy songs. Still love that album. Never got the sales or promotion it deserved
...but that hasn't stopped me from listening to it all these years later. :) Can't wait to hear what David does next, musically~there is no other singer out there like him, that can do what he does so well.
