@@KpopPrince in her radio interview just now she described this to her fave top 3 bside You Better Not, bright sound sad lyrics. Taeyeon's an infj ofc she knows melancholy well ^^;
Yeah, this one's truly incredible. Your interpretation really resonates with me a lot. Leaving someone you still hold in high regard when maybe you shouldn't, and the introspection that follows, fits well with the melancholy atmosphere. It seems the MV director confirmed that Taeyeon is Artemis here. She was the goddess of the hunt and the moon. In some versions, her only love was Orion, who was killed, and Artemis turned him into a constellation, eternal but out of reach. The whole album is beautiful, it keeps this apprehensive but hopeful vibe throughout. 🔥
MV explanation Taeyeon in the video is Artemis (Greek goddess of hunting and the moon). She was in love with a hunter named Orion, but Apollo was displeased and killed Orion, so Artemis turned Orion into a constellation. This fits with INVU's theme of "I can't love you even if I do". Thanks for the reaction and kisses from Brazil. 💋💋👏👏😍
From what I've read from her articles, this album contains various expressions or angles of love or loving and maybe that's why it was released on Valentines. Even Weekend can be interpreted as self-love or indulging one's self when the weekend comes. Hope you can do an album review, You Better Not is a happy-melancholic grunge that I really like the most from this album.
yes, i believe that the symbols in the video are directly related to the lyrics, as both the moon and water are simbolisms for emotion and sensitivity - important to remember that taeyeon is a pisces, which is a water sign and also have those simbolisms. i think that generally, the video uses apocalyptic events to represent heartbreak. maybe shes shooting the arrow to the moon because she sometimes dont want to feel what shes feeling.
Loved it. My proudest moment in my more than a decade of Kpop stanning is being a SONE and having taengoo as my OG and forever bias (for both male and female singers) haha. I am so glad that instead of turning away from them in ‘07, the hate SNSD received back then made me explore their content more. In 2007, that meant a lot more effort than now too! Because UA-cam was new, and the internet was too slow to stream. I made do with 240p quality downloads (watched such small videos lol) and waiting and hoping for fansubs to release content, until I learned Korean myself. I am so happy seeing them all in happy places and releasing such great content.
The crazy thing about Taeyeon is that because she’s been around for so long we all know she has an incredible voice. Like.. we almost expect her vocals to be flawless in every comeback. But in reality it’s been years since an idol made a debut with a voice like hers. If a new idol came out this year sounding like Taeyeon we would all be loosing our shit over the voice. She really is a iconic. Both for her visuals, her vocals and her endless list of amazing comebacks.
This is by far the best Taeyeon song, not saying her past song is bad, but this particular song is so special that it uniquely made for her Also, you are one of the few reactor that notice the dancer, truly a perfect choreography that is simple yet very eyes pleasing. Taeyeon also took part in the choreography. The live show of this is awesome, do check it out Some fun facts: Taeyeon is the one that go against the odd of her company to pick this song as the title track, she asking her company to have trust in her and here we are. Enjoying this masterpiece
@@KpopPrince Definitely recommend it, it's the only small glimpse of a live performance for INVU we'll get until one of her concerts (however long that will be from now 😅)
Goddamn Taeyeon is just breathtakingly beautiful. 😩 As someone who got into kpop during 2nd gen, i've always thought her, IU and Suzy had the craziest visuals in kpop. I love the breakdown of lyrics btw 💯
She mastered the happy-sad vibe by now or what we call sad bops. Lots of her bsides from previous albums are sad bops.
My favorite type of song honestly

Album is a masterpiece, album of the year strong contender. I like it more than her other album Purpose which was very high tier, which says a lot 🔥

You gotta have to react to Taeyeon's top 12 emotional singing video !!
The album is God Tier. It will take something special to beat it as AOTY.
