- The first-ever Vertical magazine, "Bring Your Own Heli" (B.Y.O.H.) event took place recently in the Utah desert.
Sponsored by Airbus Corporate Helicopters, this B.Y.O.H. event showcases pilots in the community and how they use their private helicopters for their heli-adventures. At this event, an Airbus Corporate Helicopter ACH130 flown by York Galland (@iflyheli), an ACH125 flown by Nic Sacco (@savagesac), joined by two Bell 505s flown by Matt Galland (@matt_galland) and Austin Calborn (@asaustinclaborn), embarked on a two-day heli-camping adventure in the Utah desert where they shared their passion for flying and exploration.
Each pilot has a different story, but they share the goal of using their helicopters to experience the world around them. In episode one, we depart Provo Municipal Airport, just outside Salt Lake City, Utah on a 100-mile (160 kilometers) journey southeast to the Colorado Plateau to explore the region. We arrived, set up camp on a ledge that dropped off into the beautiful winding green river, and prepared for the journey ahead.
Stay tuned for B.Y.O.H. episode two and the release of the July issue of Vertical Magazine - July 6th, 2022
