    I am really considering to try to get this job, and you know what? You are the second guy I heared on youtube saying that if you don't know how to ski is fine and that motivates me even more! Well, I did it only once in the past, I know I need more practice but I was told by the recruiter that if I have an idea and I did it before I can go for it and try... I want to experience this so bad now!!! Thank you for your amazing explination!!!

    Hi mate I'm currently working a season in kavos but don't want to go home at the end of the season was hoping to work a winter season, what's your best advice on getting work ect for example I booked a week's accommodation in kavos and when I got here I went out found a job and my own accommodation is that the same principle for Sweden?

    • @LiisOFFICIAL
      @LiisOFFICIAL  4 роки тому

      Do you mean you want to continue working at the place after the winter season? That could be tricky, most people that LIVES close to the resort gets the jobs during the summer/pre-season since, well, they LIVE there and have worked there for years probably. Truth is that they don't need to much staff during the summer so it's hard keeping a job. But maybe ask them if they have any roles open, or if there is a local grocery store you can work in that wants people? Hope that answers your question.

    I’m wanting to work this winter season at whistler I went snowboarding at whistler last year for my first time seeing snow, I don’t really know anything about getting a job there, is it a good time to start applying right now or do you do it closer to winter? Also how hard would it be getting a job as a ski lift operator? If you have any other tips or info please tell me I’m only 18 by the way I don’t know if that will effect much.

      Nice it's an very nice experience i really recommend it! Sorry for the delayed answer but here goes: You should apply for the job somewhere in autum yes. most places are looking for crew between august-november. BUT, sometimes they can be extremely flexible on that part. For instance i had a friend that came and visited me in February (right in the middle of the winter season) He didn't have a job and lucky for him, the lift operating personal was short on people because they miss calculated how many people they required. So i set him up with the boss over the lift personal, he did a quick 10 minute interview and the next day he worked in the lift. So just try to apply as early as possible and keep trying! You never know. When it comes to lift personal you don't really need any pre-experience in a ski related business. just let them know you are a reliable guy that are pleasant to work with and service minded (friendly towards customers) and you should be a valid candidate. If you have any work experience at all regarding service, that is a big plus.

    Hey dude,
    I've been watching several of your vacation on Maldives blogs. Trying to get as much info as I can find the place (an island) to stay. After watching several of your videos I would like to give you an advice.
    Change your camera gear. Almost all the time your shots are overexposed. Colors washed out, video is blurry and zoomed in.
    You can do way better than this by using almost any new mobile phone. Shoot and export to UA-cam 1080p/60fps on a Go pro or a mobile phone if you have one capable toshoot 1080p/60.
    Never ever shake the camera while recording! Instead of saying how nice it was, try to show it on your video.
    Try to avoid shooting in a low light without proper light somewhere near. Learn from other bloggers how to make quality content.
    Quality and interesting content + propper tags and thumbnail, this is the only reason why your videos have so little views. Other than that, great work.

      Sure thing, sorry for the long delay but haven't had the time to check comments until now. If it is still relevant here are my tips: i was 19 when I got my first job at a ski resort. I was working in a ski shop and was renting out gear and also sold gear. However, i meet people that were 18 that was also at the resort as for example, ski school instructor or in a grosserystore. I did meet a guy that was 16, but he got an internship as a ski school isntructor, not a fulltime job though. This meant he helped another ski school instructor that had big groupds for example. He came back after he graduated when he was 18 and got a fulltime job though. You don't need any qualifications when it comes to be working in grossery stores, ski gear stores, rental/information centers, waitor or the lift etc. However, some places maybe would like if you had SOME experience but not crucial. For example: If you want to work in a skishop like i did, you probably need to just prove that you are very good at skiis and knows what brands that are good and bad etc. I know you need a special certification to become a ski school instructor, since you technically are an instrucotr/teacher, you are required to be certified. Same goes when it comes to SLAO which is like skipatrol (helping injured people etc). Other things that falls in that category is driving the big pist machine.

      Save some money an go try experience these things don't feel locked down to where you are, if you get on to doing it you will soon find out if the experience is as easy as it seems I believe the hardest part would be leaving your home an workplace where it is all so comfortable.
