The Oiliens were a great way to keep the audience engaged with the show. Monster of the weeks were whimsical and had a Twilight Zone feel that could grab any viewer. This movie was the start of a long slow decline for me, and i could see the shadow of the stick despite only looking at the carrot. I faithfully watched every episode of X-Files in its first incarnation, but it never lived up to the promise of the early years. Thanks for the trip.
I love this movie. It perfectly made. It's masculine. It's exciting. It's intelligent. It's complex. It's true to the spirit of X-files. It fits with the overall storyline and it was made for the fans.

Thanks. I agree, the X-Files started very strong and then kind of faded towards the finish line. Still, it was a heck of a ride.
The film was a big let down for me. We wanted E.T. and we got Frankenstien. We wanted mysterious and we got gross.
You're referring to the second movie, not the first. I liked both. It's just personal opinion.
@@mcjs8640 fair point. forgot about the first.

Masculine? Why?
@@mcjs8640 Oh, I'm sorry... Are you one of those people that's "triggered" by that word?
Interested to see what you think of more x files.
One of my all time favorite series. The first 6 seasons are gold.
