Myer needs a raise. He’s the man.
He is great
Myer is great! He's very sharp and obviously knows his stuff. He seems to think on his feet and offer lots of useful tidbits of information - bolt sizes are really handy to know. Maybe needs to just pause for breath now and then, and not worry about how he's coming across - he's a natural teacher and great in front of the camera! Love to watch and listen to more of him doing this kind of thing :D
Thank you
Todd, have order a tranny, turbo, tuning etc… from you guys and every phone call has been pleasant. Gotten lots of great tips and really are doing a good job. Andy has been one of my favorites to deal with during a shipping delay from reddaway. Great customer service. Thanks
Thanks Jake! We really want to do the best we can to our customers and I really love hearing this!
nice to see you back Myer!!
Thank you
I've been doing this stuff for quite a while now and PPE is such a big deal after about the 3rd time of having metal removed from my eyes. Do yourself a huge favor and WEAR EYE PROTECTION! Nothing will ruin that new trans swap like a trip to the ER.
Any video with Myer gets an instant like !! 👍
Thank you John
Absolutely … The guys at PDD are awesome 👊🏻💪🏻
Thank you
I’m about to order your diy trans kit to rebuild mine myself. Wish you guys had a video on rebuilding the 47re cause I’m a bit nervous but I’m sure it’ll be fine. Love the videos and your customer service has been absolutely great helping me with ordering my parts. Keep up the good work!
We have talked about doing that. We should make that happen!
@@pddofficial Myself and I’m sure others would really like that video! I’d like to wait for it to come out but I can’t keep limping the truck around any longer😂
How did it go?
@@GlockPointer it went great! Took me about a week to do the rebuild and get it back in the truck. Had a few things I had questions about and I called PDD and they were able to help me right away. Transmission shifts great and doesn’t make any noise so I call that a win
PDD please make a video for this I gotta do mine pretty soon so having a video of your 450hp rebuild kit would be amazing!!!!
I appreciate the videos, i ran my transmission a bit over full ..its a good idea to check the pressures. . I was surprised how good a 48re shifted in my brothers truck shifted . My old 47rh that finally went out never shifted that good .. Thanks for the information on the pressures . I remember how low the pressure was on my stock 47rh at idle and lock up . Surprised it lasted long as it did .
Glad to help
Awesome video love the shop and how helpful and the willingness to help
Thank you Curtis
I want to drop my transmission in my 96 so bad and rebuild it myself. Too afraid of the bolts being too crusty and not being able to do it successfully. Thanks for making this video!
Get after it!
👌solid episode guys thank y’all!
Thank you Vincent
Can you use new fluid and the converter orpump to pull a continues supply of new fluid thru the system when changing fluids I've done a fluid change at 40k intervals with my 48re and it's the to do a third or rebuild with billet in and billetinternals. With a triple disc converter
Awesome job Myer 💪🏻👌🏻
Thanks Boss!
@@CumminsWorks you’re welcome !!
Thnak you Myer is Awesome
I have an 03 CR Cummins. It has a 47re. Can i swap it with an older 47re or does it need to be another 03? Really appreciate your tech videos. Thanks
i did this myself to just to replace the converter, the worst part of the job was that cross member, and how to get it in place.
It sure looks easy with a lift. I’ve done it twice so far with jack stands and a creeper. It’s such a mess pulling the pan that I got a hand pump to draw most of the fluid before I take it off. Your frame spreading jack is a bit cleaner than my bottle jack and 4x4 setup. The 4x4 held up but it was marginal. Bottle jacks don’t always like to work sideways. I laid mine down flat and filled it with all the hydraulic fluid it would take so the jack would work better while horizontal.
I did the clutch on my 1999 on my back twice... now there is a two post in the barn.
They are much Easy on a lift
Nice on a 95 2500 can you upgrade dipstick tubes mine is oring and leaks
Is it possible to swap a 47re to a 48re? if so where can I find harness adapters and oil line adapters?
Not me who just did this job twice and was only able to get 4/6 torque converter bolts back in the 2nd time cause I didn't know the flexplate had balancing holes 🙃
how did you get the transmission cross member in?
I am wondering how dose a transfercase hold up to 1000 hp range. Is there anything you need to do to that. Maybe a rebuild or any billet parts?
They actually do very well if they are in good working condition. I have a bone stock fresh dhd in the Godfather!
this may not be the place to ask, but what front brakes are you running on The Godfather? I am doing the front brakes on my 1999 and there has to be a configuration that is better than the stock setup where the unit bearing has to come out and the studs need to be hammered out.
If you find something better let me know. Stock brakes on the Godfather
I have heard that stiff flex plates can cause other parts to give way. Does the HD flexplate still have enough flex when the rest of the transmission is billet and has no give.
I am installing a rebuilt transmission and I am getting mixed messages for flexplates.
We haven't had any problems with these plates other than a few have had to much runout. That's why we measure them.
Why not power wash the underside/transmission before disassemble?
Question, I’m seriously considering PDD as far as transmission build. As far as purchasing onsite, because my truck only has 88,000 miles, what’s the turn around time on using my core and having PDD install? Thanks
That depends on how many builds are ahead of you. I think we are basically caught up at the moment. Call into the shop and we can get something scheduled.
Did you need any gasket sealer when putting the transfer case on the transmission or do you just put it on dry
We just put it on dry
That’s my man
Bet Griffith
@@pddofficial lol 👊🏻
To clarify, the at idle in neutral dipstick reading for the fluid sb just above the s bend?
Not running in neutral lower to middle of the s bend
@@pddofficial Thanks
Awesome!
Thank you
whats the max psi the line pressure gauge reads to that you guys put in the truck?
200 Psi in a race 47 or 48
How about a video on why we should buy a rebuilt 47re from PDD and not some of your competitors, thanks in advance.
Good Idea
Hell Yeah Brother 🇺🇸🦅
Thank you
Wats the price on a trans for my 2001 dodge ram 2500 that has a 47re looking for something to hold up to 1,000hp or soo
Hi Hector they start at $10,081 just depend on the option that you chose powerdrivendiesel.com/product/power-driven-streetstrip-1000hp/
How quick is damage done to a 47re from overfilling ?
Depends on how lucky you are! If it's overfilled and the drum whips the fluid up and aerates the fluid it can hurt the pump pretty quick, or if the pump can take it then it can cause lower line pressure and cause the clutches to slip.

@@pddofficial thanks
Got your pan off kit you guy’s really should do a video on that there is no video on the install would be nice for concrete guy pretending to be a mechanic lol thanks
That video should be coming out in a few weeks
You guy’s are awesome I had a ton of questions and you guy were a ton of help I did the manual valve body and had to unbolt the overdrive it was super easy you should add that to your video no need for transmission shop thank again
That truck needs the idle turn up little bit
Yep had a shut off solenoid that was not adjust right
Will a 03 47re fit in my 04 that’s uses a 04
physically they will fit but the sensors will not work
I have a 47RE in my ‘94
47rh came stock on 94 and 95, who changed yours out to be an electronic governor 47re system?
@@pddofficial oh ok. Then it must be a 47rh … didn’t know there was a difference 🤪🤪🤪🫣🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Hey... I didn't get an emailed response back from griffith.. (and to all the dang trolls that wasn't a dig! It simply reminded me as I am trying to buy a further upgraded set up from real proffesionals!)
Hi Joey can you resend that email to Griffith and he will get on it
Lol that’s cute I called for my 5.9 12valve in my motorhome and got told ( from your rep on the phone you only do high performance trucks )
Looks like I’ll be looking on to other places to help me get more power
Are you sure you called Power Driven? We've helped several 5.9 Cummins powered motorhomes get more power. Please send an email to customerservice at powerdrivendiesel.com if you can't get through on the phone.
I know I love mayonnaise and Felipe when I went up their and home girl in the front but I don't think she eats cause she's flacita really skinny and the kid that did my fire ring job can't remember his name
I heard WOT is looking for a trans guy...... just sayin.....
I was literally thinking that same thing after watching the latest Horsetorque vid. Myer and Josh were an awesome team.
We love Myer, don't try to chase him off.
You should apply if you're looking for work, I'll bet they'd train you.
First😎😀
Why ruin a cummins with that crap?
